An hour later me and Mason were sitting on the couch watching tv

Miguel gets home and immediately comes up to us, he stands in front of us looking angry

Miguel:do you two have something you want to share?

I shake my head

Y/n:I don't know what you're talking about
Miguel:oh so the pictures of you and Mason being touchy at the mall doesn't exist now?
Y/n:hey I'm just as confused as you are
Miguel:cut the shit

Mason:look me and Y/n are just friends
Miguel:wow I can tell by the way Y/n is LITERALLY leaning on you right now

I was leaning onto Masons side

Y/n:okay but it isn't like that I lean like this on Tristan all the time
Miguel:yeah but you and Tristan don't have fucking dating rumors

I sit up

Y/n:okay calm down
Miguel:I'm not gonna calm down you guys are together
Mason:no we are not
Miguel:so those pictures aren't you guys

Y/n:yes it's us and yes Mason was touchy but we have a perfect reason on why I asked him to do that
Miguel:you ASKED him to touch you?
Y/n:yes I did
Miguel:why?

Y/n:becaus some guys wouldn't leave me alone so I asked Mason to do that so they'd think I was with him
Miguel:some guys were bothering you?
Y/n:yeah

His anger fades away but he still looked unsure

Miguel:next time call me and don't give people the wrong impression by having my best friend act like your boyfriend
Y/n:yeah I won't

He nods and heads upstairs to his room, Mason looks at me smiling

Mason:you come up with excuses and lies really quick
Y/n:oh shut up

He kisses me and pulls away

Y/n:you really don't learn

It's been 2 days and dating rumors of me and Mason were all over my socials

Me and Miguel sat in my room trying to figure out what to do

Miguel:I feel like whatever you say nobody will believe it anyway
Y/n:yeah so

I sat on my bed as he sat on my vanity chair

Miguel:what if we just say the truth and make you up a fake boyfriend
Y/n:that's not a bad idea
Miguel:alright let's so it

Me and Miguel set up his phone and go live

People start to join and the comments immediately flood in with questions

"Where's Mason?"
"Did everybody see the pictures"
"So we're all here because of the rumors"
"Are they dating"
"Are you and Mason together?"
"They're obviously dating"
"I don't think so Miguel seems fine with it"

Me and Miguel read the comments, music played quietly in the background

Miguel:can somebody not talk about the rumors
Y/n:no seriously like I'm already talking to someone and this won't do anything to help

"Cap"
"No way there's someone else"
"Miguel what's your favorite song"
"If I was the person I'd be raging if I saw that"
"Those pictures didn't look friendly so I don't believe you"

I keep reading the comments

Y/n:alright so at the mall me and Mason were hanging out as friends do and some guys wouldn't stop bugging me so I asked him to act like my boyfriend to scare them away

"He looked VERY comfortable doing that"
"I don't really care that much to be honest"
"Miguel horror movies or comedy?"
"I need to hear Mason say it himself"
"Tell Mason to post on tiktok"

We watch as the comments slowly start to shift away from the situation

After an hour we finally ended the live

Miguel:you think they believed it
Y/n:maybe, but we somewhat cleared it up so
Migeul:yeah since you've spoken about it people will let it go

I nod as I lay on my bed, Miguel lays next to me

Miguel:that's really what happened right?
Y/n:yeah thats what happened
Miguel:cause I told you that my friends were off limits
Y/n:yeah I know Miguel

Miguel:so you better listen, I just don't like the idea of my twin being with one of my friends, it's strange

I turn my head to him and smile

Y/n:you wouldn't want Mason to be your brother in law?

He smiles

Miguel:you're an idiot
