•The Night of the Comet•
Talk. Sereia's mom had promised her that they would talk when the time was right. So she was left with no answers as she got ready for school. Her keys and bag in hand as she jogged down the stairs.
She gave her mother a small smile, she trusted that there was a reason they couldn't have just talked now. "Bye mom."
The woman let out a sigh of relief at the fact that she wasn't upset, pulling her daughter into a tight hug. "Bye hun."
Pulling away, Sereia opened the door with a startled smile. "Stefan?" She looked around, noticing that there were no extra vehicles on the block. "Wait, did you walk here last night?"
"It's calming." He smiled, "I just came to check on you."
Her lips stretched into a grin, leaning onto her door frame with her arms crossed over her chest. "Twice in twelve hours? Aren't you a gentleman."
"It's a talent." He chuckled, giving her space to pass as she pushed herself upright, closing the door behind her with a thankful smile. "Thank you though, really. Would you like a ride?"
Stefan accepted, getting into the girl's passenger seat while she started the car. His eyes glued to the side of her face when she maneuvered the vehicle with ease.
"So, what happened?" Stefan asked in reference to last night.
"Nothing. My mom said we'll talk when the time was right." She turned to him with a frown, "Do you think that means crazy runs in my family?"
Stefan shook his head reassuringly while resting his hand on hers. "You are not crazy, i promise." She looked down at the sudden contact, bottom lip between her teeth as she nodded. "Yeah.."
Just then the two pulled up to the school, saying their goodbyes and parting when Stefan went to find Elena and she went to find Bonnie.

Sat at a table outside of the Grill, Sereia was drinking from the smoothie in front of her as the curly haired brunette talked about everything her Gram's had said about the comet.
"And then you poured grams another shot and she told you about the aliens." Caroline interrupted, turning to Elena instead, "So then what?"
"So then nothing." Elena shrugged, and Sereia stole a fry off her plate before Caroline continued her twenty one questions.
Glancing down at the time on her phone, the girl said goodbye to her friends. Making her way to her vehicle only to have her vision obstructed. Being met with a man's broad back. He was clad in a black leather jacket as he stared ahead of him.
"Excuse me?" She called out, "You're kind of.. uh, blocking my way." She let her jaw slacken ever so slightly when he turned around, piercing blue eyes staring straight into hers with an apologetic smile.
"Oh? I'm sorry." He moved out of the way with a hand gesturing towards the car, and she muttered a small thanks before swinging open the door.
Damon quietly studied the girl, Sereia hurriedly throwing her bag inside before getting in. A chill running down her spine as she reversed out the parking lot, feeling his gaze on her even as she drove off.
When she arrived home, she got herself ready for the evening festival. Most of the town would be gathering to see the comet, including her and all of her friends.
She made her way to the park when the time was right. And she was stuck handing out programs for the night's proceedings. Unable to hide the displeasure clear on her face when she wasn't offering parents a forced smile.
"Night of the comet, would you like a-" Her eyes widened when she stood face to face the guy from earlier, a smirk on his face that caused her to raise a brow. "You know, there are very few things you can say right now that won't make you seem like a creep."
Damon's smirk grew in amusement. "Feeling feisty tonight are we sweetheart?" Stretching out his hand in a faux kind gesture, "Damon Salvatore."
"Salvatore? Like Stefan?"
"Stefan's my baby brother. A sweet one isn't he?" Damon's head tilted, watching as she visibly relaxed. The man bringing her hand to his lips the second it was in his palm.
Sereia tensed back up again, fear consuming her body when she started feeling like she was drowning in darkness. Every prolonged second of her hand in his pushing her deeper and deeper underneath.
Damon's hold on her hand tightened, "Are you okay?" He questioned, brushing the loose piece of hair off of her face with his index finger. He could see in her eyes that something was troubling her.
"I'm fine." She gave him a smile, taking her hand from his while looking around for any familiar face. "Well, nice to meet you Damon."
Damon watched as the girl walked away from him, a grin on her face when she spotted his brother. Typical.
"So you have a brother?" Sereia questioned Stefan, and he was taken aback by her sudden knowledge of the other Salvatore.
"Yeah.. how did you?"
"I met him." She continued handing out programs, missing the way Stefan's jaw clenched in annoyance. "So, you and Elena. How's that been going?"
Noticing his expression, the girl was quick to change the subject. "Actually, wanna know something cool? Bonnie's grams says that the comet is.." Her face twisted into one of confusion, "I forgot."
Stefan chuckled at how adorable she looked, smiling down at her as she tried to remember Bonnie's words. "Something to do with death, and carnage. Oh and it being a sign of 'doom.'" She grinned up at him proudly. "Yeah. Something like that."
"Really?" He started, "Personally i think it's just a lonely ball of snow and ice trapped on a path that it cannot escape. It has been for thousands of years."
"Okay now you're just making me feel bad for the thing." She groaned jokingly, finally taking note of how the sun was beginning to set. "I better go find Bonnie before she assumes i was kidnapped, talk to you later?"
"Of course."
__It was dark out. And Vicki was missing. Everyone agreeing to split up to look for her. Sereia was with Tyler, who wouldn't stop bugging her.
"I miss you, you know."
"I'm sure you do" She hummed. She really did fall for him. It was a fling turned into feelings, so they technically weren't dating— people just thought they were.
They acted like every other couple, she was over at his house three nights out of seven. It just.. didn't last long. She knew the type of guy he was so it didn't really surprise her when a day after he asked her to be his girlfriend, he cheated.
Now his new fling of the year was Vicki Donovan. And it seemed to bother her less than it should've.
"I'm serious." His hand grabbed onto hers to stop her from walking.
"I know you are. But Vicki really likes you Ty. And i won't help you play her more than you're doing already." She smiled at his thoughtful expression. "Now, would you please hurry up."
He sighed with an eventful smile, "Yes ma'am."
They continued their search, and Sereia and Tyler eventually split up. The girl happening to come across Stefan who muttered a small apology before speed walking past her. Leaving her to blink dumbly when he disappeared at the end of the path.
