The next day kicks off bright and early for Sana, if she's up early enough she can avoid harassment from her classmates, and seeing HIM, she feels bile build up in her mouth and a vile taste in her throat as her heart squeezes at the thought. She runs to a garbage can barely making it in time, so maybe breakfast wasn't the best plan, if she goes over to Shinso's early enough she could probably grab one of Aizawa-sensei's jelly pouches though, those are easy enough on the stomach that she won't have to worry about it all coming back up. Taking a deep breath she looks at herself in the mirror plain old Sana, that won't last long though considering the fact she feels the numbness from yesterday lingering in the back of her mind. If they pushed just a bit further she might have broken but luckily she's come a long way in the past couple of years clinging on to the tiny sense of self-worth she had built herself. She ran a hand through her hair impulsively grabbing scissors and cutting off a good four inches it had been long enough that now it barely reached her shoulders, she'd cut her hair many times before so it was not obvious that she had done it herself.
As she changed into one of her more comfortable and worn outfits trading the crisp school-provided shoes for her worn and tapped sneakers she made her way out of the dorms none of the 1-A kids on the hero team were awake yet and her teammates shouldn't be since they'd gone to sleep late so they could wake up at noon. She makes her way down the path towards the teacher's dorms still trying to get a hold of the queasiness her now ex-friend's betrayal made her feel. Once she is outside Shinso's apartment she sends him a text not wanting to wake up his parents or Eri since she knows he has her number set to ring through. Within the minute he texts back that he's finishing something up and then he'll let her in, he also tells her that both his dads are awake Yamada sensei is getting ready for a guest appearance on a morning talk show while Aizawa-sensei is going over the beginnings of encryption with him.
Several minutes later the door opens and Hitoshi ushers her inside whispering so that his dads don't overhear."Sana... I know you said to wait to tell them but I know that look, I can't sneak out from here because well it's my real home now I actually respect the rules they set about curfew without permission, and my quirk doesn't work over the phone. I'd feel much better if you stayed near me and not a fifteen-minute walk away in the dorms." Hitoshi's voice is filled with concern the kind that only he had ever shown her, but there's also a certain vulnerability and desperation that he rarely shows, everything logical is screaming at her to tell him no but instead she finds that for once her heart is winning, she isn't thinking long term and frankly she needs a cardboard box fort with Hitoshi right now more than anything. So despite her best judgment, she finds herself shakily nodding.
"Yeah... yeah you can tell them... can I be in your room when you do it though? In all our plans I wasn't nearby when you told them and... some part of me is terrified they won't like me anymore and they'll try and tell me to get out." Hitoshi hugs her tight reassuringly.
"That will never happen, they care about you too damn much and worried for you long before my Dad knew I was even your acquaintance let alone how close of friends we are, if you can't trust that they won't hurt you at least trust that they would never hurt me. You can go to my room, you know where the fort stuff is I'll ask my dads if we can talk in the living room." Sana voices her agreement with the plan letting go and walking away hoping dearly that she hadn't just made the mistake of the century. But right before she goes into his room she hears him call out to her.
"And Sana, I'm proud of you, I know how hard it is opening up or giving permission to tell someone about your situation so I'm proud you trust me enough to let me share." Once Sana is safely locked in his bedroom he grabs his Dad and Papa, the latter immediately calling into his morning appearance and saying he can't make it because of family matters, Hitoshi shoos them onto the couch while he stands in front of the coffee table similar to where he stands for mock presentations, his heart rate spikes as he looks at his Dads this isn't JUST Sanas story after all and while his dads have heard bits and pieces there's so much they haven't heard that he's nervous how they will react, they catch on to how stressed out Hitoshi is quickly, though neither has a clue why.
