The Hero Courses Await!

Previously, Izuku had questioned you regarding what had happened back at the place where the huge explosion had occurred. Not knowing how to respond to it, Shoto immediately takes control of the situation and assures you that he will handle the situation by himself. Having no other choice, you reluctantly agree to his proposal.

You: "Izuku... it's not really a big deal.. You can rest knowing that, isn't it...?"

Izuku: "Nah, I am not gonna rest... not until I know the reason behind your broken legs and tears."

You : " (........) "

Shoto: *To you* "Hey, let me handle this. You don't need to take so much stress. It has been a really tough time for you."
               *To Izuku* "Yea, so let me continue. You do remember the explosion that had occurred back then right? "

Izuku: "Y-..yeah..."

Shoto: "Right. That explosion was actually coming from the direction of the area where your and Katzu's houses are located."

Izuku: "W-WHA-, then th... Oh stupid me (chuckles), mom is literally sitting outside the medical room right now. So nothing bad actually happened, right?"

Shoto: "You were correct... until you really weren't..."

Izuku: "Huh? Do you need some sleep Shoto.. Oh too bad, the beds are all occupied, hehe!"

Shoto: "All Might and I did save your mom, but unfortunately... Katzu's home was in ruins and completely destroyed.. almost as if someone specifically targeted his house. We were not able to save his parents... All Might was heartbroken and was blaming himself for whatever happened.... I-...even I feel like I was really of no help there..."

Izuku: (frantically looks towards you) "....This is how YOU HIDE things from your FRIENDS, KATZU? Just because I AM NOT able to move around with my broken body.... you felt like lying to me? I know... you did this because I am useless. I am to be blamed here, isn't it.... Shoto? Look at me... I claim to call myself Katzu's BEST FRIEND (screeching).. I, PROMISED him that I will protect all his loved ones when I am the one being saved every time. Why do I even dream of being a hero? What is the point, OF HAVING A QUIRK....(softly) when I-"

You: "NO NO! It's not like that Izuku. It's.... just my fate. You can't change it. You were always my best friend, and that will always be like that. My parents wished to see me enroll into the UA... and that I did, didn't I? That's it.... they are definitely watching me from heaven. My mother used to tell me that twinkling stars a resemblance of the spirits of people...and look! There's just 2 of them in the sky right now, which means (sobbing), it's.... mom ... and d-dad."

Shoto looks at you and feels deep remorse for you. He was thinking of all the possibilities of saving your parents... which were hindered by fate. However, he does not cry. It makes sense though... since he was a child, he has always been crying due to the horrible condition of his own family. The pain and sorrow of his childhood have hardened him so much, that he has lost all emotions, except frustration, regret, guilt and anger. He does not even know what pure happiness feels like.

Izuku is just... left speechless. He tries to recollect himself, and prepares to apologize for what he said to you, but you immediately stop him. 

Izuku: "Katzu, I-"

You: *teary-eyed* "It's alright, Izuku. I already told you... my life is bound to be dangerous. It's just how it is. As long as I possess this quirk- which I always will -, I have to be prepared for such casualties. Now... the only people I have with me... are you, Shoto, All Might aunt and uncle. I know it's going to be very difficult for me to recover from what happened today, but I just need everyone's support. Shoto, you and All Might are the only people I can trust with everything I have. Please, Izuku.. stop blaming yourself. It's. Not. Your.....fault."
