The scene quickly changed once more as night fell. Toni was inside the cave as she stared at the fire, burning in front of her.
"I'm sure they are looking for you Stark." The woman did not react to the doctor's words as she continued to stare at the fire. "But they will never find you in these mountains."
"We sure as hell tried." Rhodey mumbled bitterly as he shook his head. He hated that it took them so long to find his best friend.
Crouching in front of the woman the man sighed. "Look at what you just saw... That is your legacy, Stark. Your life's work... in the hands of those murderers. Is that how you want to go out? Is this the last act of defiance of the great Toni Stark? Or are you going to do something about it..."
"Why should I do anything." Toni mumbled out finally. "They're going to kill me, you, either way... and if they don't, I'll probably be dead in a week."
Sirius frowned. He hated seeing his sister so... hopeless. He had tried to protect her from that feeling all his life and in the end he failed.
"Well, then..." The man tilted his head. "... this is a very important week for you, isn't it?"
"Hmm?"
Thenext day Toni seen determined as she ordered the men around with confidence inher voice as the doctor eagerly translated. "If this is going to be myworkstation, I want it well-lit. I want these up. I need welding gear. I don'tcare if it's acetylene or propane." Giving each other a look, Toni nodded.
"I need a soldering station. I need helmets. I'm going to need goggles. I would like a smelting cup. I need two sets of precision tools."
"My wife slaying the day away per usual." Hermione gushed as she watched Toni boss the people around. Ron and Harry shared a look as they shook their heads. This girl really was whipped.
"That is the lady Toni I know!" Thor boasted with pride. He loved seeing Toni so demanding. It was one of the many reasons why he courted the woman. He loved a lady who was able to assert their dominance.
As time passed, Toni began to work on the project as the doctor helped as much as he could. Not keeping her eyes off her work, Toni decided to strike up a conversation. "How many languages do you speak?"
"A lot." The man said. "But apparently not enough for this place."
Toni nodded agreeing with the man while signalling him to continue. "They speak Arabic, Urdu, Dart, Pashto, Mongolian, Farsi, Russian..."
Narcissa laughed gaining people's attention. "Its just funny how we Blacks have to learn at least seven languages and Toni didn't learn any of those."
"Well what languages did she learn?" A third year asked.
This time it was Sirius who spoke. "Well, our native language is Korean but besides that, she learned English, French, Spanish, Hindi, Mandarin, Turkish, and Vietnamese. Meanwhile, I learned English, French, Hindi, Russian, Arabic, Italian, and Bengali. I don't know if she learned more over time but that's what she was taught as a kid."
Vega pitched in. "Over time Mama also learns Italian, Arabic, and Portuguese."
"Damnnn."
"Who are these people?" Toni asked.
"They, Ms Stark, are your loyal customers and they call themselves the Ten Rings." Toni nodded as she continued to work, aware of the cameras in the cave. She knew that their every move was being watched and had to tread carefully with what she did. "We might be more productive." Watching her work, the doctor sighed. "If you include me in the planning process..."
