I hated people.
They always deemed me as some kind of rotten monster of nature. A disaster, along with my twin brother, Sakura. At first, I didn't know how to keep the rude comments away from myself. However, seeing how successfully Sakura made everyone fear him and stay away, I chose the same method.
We were both feared. Especially, after sending down muscular meat towers into the ground.
I loved fighting. Sure, words have their own powers, but you cannot see the true meaning behind them. Physical discussion was perfectly straightforward and clear – no hidden meaning, just using our limbs in a clever way.
No matter how much I tried to explain this to my previous headmaster, he didn't care a bit about it. He couldn't imagine his pretty little boy being such a jerk that his nuts had to be sent back into his body. Of course, I was the guilty one without the possibility to be listened to.
I was fired immediately from that school.
My parents were worried sick. After all, it was an elite high school. They paid a lot of money for my studies. However, they also understood the amount of hate both me and my brother had received already.
The idea of changing school to Furin High came from my mother. She hadn't heard a bad word from my brother about this school, which was appealing enough. The woman bombarded him with a rumbling sea of questions about how they accepted his appearance.
He said he had no problen with that.
And so, there I was. Standing in front of a door. A staircase led us there, and I could already make out birds chirping happily up there.
"Are you sure the leader is up there?" I scratched my scruff, unsure of the choice of doors.
"If not in a class, he's usually caring about his idiot plants" Sakura huffed beside me, his arms crossed in front of his chest. He stepped forward, knocking again. This time, less patient. He could got pissed off pretty easily. "If he doesn't open, I'll kick this stupid door in!"
"To ruin my reputation right away? Thanks, you asshole" I grumbled, hitting him on his clsoer upper arm.
In sync with that, the door suddenly opened up. A tall, muscular, young man looked down at us, pure curiousity in his cheerful, blue eyes.
Eww. What was he so happy about?
If it was me, I would have been pissed off. After all, someone disturbs me in my hobbies. And how can he be a leader? He was barely older than us.
"Ah, Sakura-kun, come in!" he stepped back from the doorframe, gesturing to freely enter. Then, his gaze wandered from my brother to me. "And you must be Hayami. Nice to meet you, I'm Umemiya Hajime"
A hand was offered to me, which I hesitated to accept. It was my brother's elbow in my side which forced me to accept his hand. I hissed but accepted the hand. I was about to shake it, when suddenly, Umemiya's face threw away the cheerful cover and got on a cocky smile. His long fingers suddenly tightened around my small palm, pulling me in with such force, I ended up in the hard floor on my butt. I left no time to cry for my buttock, cause the tall man was already on his second movement, his fist clenched, flying toward me. I rolled sideways, jumping to my feet just in time when he hit the wall behind me and turned around.
Okay, Umemiya-senpai. If you want to see if I can fit into your little group, I'm in. A good fight is always refreshinf – I always keep my hair in two braids, just to always be prepared.
I narrowed my eyes and tried to find the direction of his next attack. He tried to make me think he'll come from the right, but when his step was way too short based on the previous ones, I knew it was just a weak trap. Just as I predicted, he went in the other way, his other leg ready to kick out my legs. I jumped up just in time, pushing my feet into his stomach in a powerful kick. He waddled back a couple of meters but didn't fall.
