EMBER
'She is getting more adjusted to me. It took me three hours before I could confirm that she was asleep. Ava was planning to look into the files so I should do that before she gets to know about me. I went over the trap door and started to the office but my mind was on George's pleads to let him go. That defeated look... the cries to leave him... it was so soothing. I thought to finish him after her but he almost reached me. He was planning to talk to Ava about me and poor him it led to his on grave. Anyway he got joined with his long lost family... Hmm... He deserve it.
But as Joe told everyone is connected one way and that is they have lost someone close. I was the one who killed everyone but I have made sure not to leave any loose ends. Poor Sid he could have lived happily with her but he came after me. I feel sorry for Ava because of him she lost her child too... so I killed a murderer in a sense. Can this be coincidence? No I should check into Jane too. She might know something.'
I opened the cupboard to find the file missing from there. I was sure Ava had not taken it which means Jane might have doubted of someone's presence and took away the file. 'She knows something.... I should do it before it's too late. The time is limited and Amy has started following my trail. I should put an end to her today.'
I walked back to my room and made a plan. I almost reached Amy's room when I heard a shuffling from behind. I turned to find Wendy there and I could see she was confused for the first few minutes. Then realization hit her but before she could react I lunged forward with the pen in my hand. She took a step back and lost her balance. That second was enough for me to get a hold on her neck with my arm. I hold my other hand over her mouth stopping any sounds and strangled her until she fell unconscious.
Taking her to my room might leave stains there so I brought her to her own room. Amy have to wait. I gagged her using her clothes from the closet and started slapping her face until she wake up. Her cheeks were swollen and I could guess how much it might pain. Even though George's pleadings were a melody to me I was not able to produce my work on him as I had limited time then. I felt a smile creep on my face thinking how much I'm going to play with her. I could see the fear in her eyes... the fear of a prey. I took out my knife and let my fingers slide on it taking in the smoothness and sharpness of it. I started carving small symbols and animals over her hands. Next I tore her dress and and started carving some sentences on her body. These sentences together makes things that I have bottled up for all these years.
She was not dead even after an hour so I increased my game. I started carving her face and slowly reached her fingers. I carved out each fingers one by one and each time I could hear her muffled screams which calmed me down. By the time the last light left her eyes she was carved into an unrecognizable mess of flesh and blood. I washed my hand and after carving out her nails to destroy my presence. I locked her room from the inside and to the window. Using the pipes I reached my room and went back to bed thinking about her screams.
It has been so long I was able to sleep so calmly. Like her friend she became a witness to my game so she had to die. Next Amy will have to play with me before she could reach me. I slept thinking about Amy's screams that will reach my ears soon.
