Today is our anniversary and my birthday.

I woke up and he texted me:
"Good morning my love! Happy birthday to my beautiful girl. Happy anniversary to us! I love you so much."
I smiled knowing I'll have the best day of my life.

I got dressed and went down to get breakfast. My parents cooked my favourite meal and I ate like a starved bear.

I hugged them. I haven't done that in a long time. "I love you, Mom and Dad. Never forget that." We said our goodbyes.

He was waiting outside when I got out of the house. He was smiling and I ran, threw myself at him. I'm going to have the best day of my life.

I gave him my present. His favourites all in one basket. A letter, longer than Rapunzel's hair. And a big hug and kiss, because I know he likes that the most.

We got at the city centre and he took me to my favourite store and got me the stuffed bear I've always wanted. I kissed him as a thank you.

He took me to my favourite place. The aquarium. We took photos and kissed some more.

We went to a fancy restaurant. We laughed and talked a lot. He surprised me with a bouquet of my favourite flowers and my favourite cake.

"Happy Birthday, my love."

We strolled in the boulevard and he bought me my favourite ice cream. I'm having the best day of my life.

We sat at a bench and gazed at the stars above us. We talked endlessly. Laughed endlessly. Loved each other endlessly.

If only we could stay like that forever.

We walked to the train station. It was just the two of us. We hugged and kissed for the last time.

"I love you, my love. Never ever forget that."
"I love you too, my love."

"Be safe."

He stepped in and the doors closed. We waved at each other as he went on.

It was 23:59.30. Almost the end of the day.

I stepped on the rail. Looked at the stars one last time.

23:59.59

And just for a second, a fraction of a second even, I felt like I wanted to live.

I closed my eyes and felt it hit me. The cold wind flowing and the train behind me.

00:00.00
