The kitchen was lively for a Wednesday morning. Chan called off morning meetings and the pack spent the morning making breakfast.

“Felix as much as I love you, we are not making brownies for breakfast.” Jeongin muttered as he continued cooking.

“But why not.” Felix whined, using his puppy eyes on the youngest.

“Felix stop bothering him so we can eat faster.” Chan said after he and Changbin finished putting everything in the living room away. They cleaned up that morning and Changbin dragged Chan to help him clean.

Jisung and Felix were both dressed in their uniforms ready to start the day. The others had dressed up as well getting ready for a long day ahead of them.

Before the omega’s showed up downstairs, the members talked about how they had to handle Ateez. They were becoming a problem drastically.

It wasn’t just hurting them but it was hurting those around. Those they considered friends.

“Yah! Who put salt in my coffee?!” Minho spat as he dumped his coffee in the sink.

Jisung and Hyunjin bursted into laughter as Seungmin tried to discreetly leave the kitchen.

“Kim Seungmin, get your ass back here now.” Minho growled playfully as Seungmin sprinted up the stairs, Minho hot on his heels.

The kitchen was filled with laughter and voices. Eventually Seungmin and Minho came back down with Seungmin wearing a pout on his lips.

Jeongin finished breakfast and they all sat around eating.

“Do you guys work today?” Felix questioned, looking at Chan.

“Yes love, we do. We have things to take care of immediately.” Chan replied, nodding his head.

Felix hummed in understanding and a light banter began around the table.

“Sungie, can I ask you a question? I was going to ask Lix about this, but I’m pretty sure it would be better coming from you.” Changbin spoke up amidst the conversations.

The table went quiet as Jisung gave a swift nod.

“Have you talked to your eomma yet? Does she have any idea you’re in a pack?”

Jisung’s hand stopped mid motion, and his eyes widened.

“My eomma? N-No I actually haven’t. I don’t really know how to—um—bring it up. My eomma is uh.” Jisung trailed off, obviously nervous about something.

Felix reached over and held his hand and squeezed it. It was like his way of saying it’s okay.

The remaining members looked at one another and confusion took over their faces.

Taking a deep breath Jisung began, “My appa— left my eomma for another omega in a pack. It broke her. She did what she could to make my life better. She was so hurt after he left. My eomma made me swear when I was young to never join a pack, and to stay with one partner.”

Minho hummed, “I see, and you’re nervous she won’t like us or tell you to leave our pack?”

Jisung nodded again, nerves creeping up.

“Jisung.” A voice called out.

Jisung slowly gazed up and met Chan’s eyes.

“Sweetheart, that's okay. It makes sense to have a fear like that, but it would be best if we met up with your eomma.”

“Yeah Sungie, when your heat comes we would like to help you through them, and well, we can’t do that. Your eomma would know that someone helped and she would become distressed. It’s always worrisome when your omega’s heat is taken care of and you have no idea. She could think the worst.” Hyunjin spoke, his eyes full of concern.
