⟹ Authors POV

It's almost night already, the day had passed and you are currently sitting in your room, drawing something in your sketchbook as usual. Drawing is the only thing, with your friends and family, that can just make you forget everything for a second. Clear your mind and calm you down, it always has.
The quiet raindrops hitting the window relax you even further, you could easily fall asleep like this if you wouldn't have trouble with it in the last of time.

After quite a few minutes you hear something hitting your window, almost sounding like a little stone being thrown. You furrow your eyebrows and stand up, slowly walking towards it and once you opened it, you saw Jungkook looking up at you, muttering the words 'Can we talk?' Silently.
You nod at his words, muttering back 'yeah, but please don't break my window next time' with a small chuckle which he reflects with his own. You open the door of your room, hearing the water running in the bathroom which just means that Taehyung is showering.
Once you arrive in front of the front door, you open it and see Jungkook giving you a weak smile.
"Hey.."
"Hey..let's get upstairs, okay?" You say quietly and he nods, walking behind you as you walk towards your room.

You then sit down on your bed, closing your sketchbook and placing it on the desk next to your bed.
"What happened?" You ask quietly, looking at him sitting down next to you.
"Is it something with Alice again?"
He nods slowly at your words, making you sigh. He looks down at the floor and his expression says more then words ever could. He looks guilty, sad and hurt but also confused and it breaks your heart in every way.
"Come here" you say softly and quietly while you gently pull him into your embrace, wrapping your arms around him in a comforting hug and letting his chin rest on your shoulder.
He doesn't pull away from the hug, instead he wraps his arms even tighter around your waist, not wanting to let go just yet, maybe never.
"I'm just so..tired, you know? I love her. I really do and I want her to be happy but I'm tired. I feel like something is stressing me out and it's tearing me apart.." he mumbles against your shoulder, burying his face into it and letting out a shaky sigh, in attempt to keep his tears from falling down his cheeks, but it's getting harder and harder each second he spends in your arms.
"I'm so sorry.." he mumbles shakily against your shoulder. His voice sounds hurt, guilty for thinking that he's burdening you with the same problem over and over again.
You let out a quiet exhale, looking up to not cry yourself. There's nothing in the world that hurts you more then seeing him cry. It's something he barely does, especially in front of someone but whenever he does it in front of you, your heart aches in a painful manner. You hold your tears back for his sake though, not wanting to make his situation even worse.
"Shh..it's okay. You can cry here..I'm here" you whisper against his hair, starting to caress it ever so lovingly.
"You don't need to feel sorry..you aren't burdening me and you never will, okay? I rather have you crying in my arms then you bottling it all up till you fall apart" you continue.
His arms wrap tighter around you and not long after, you feel his tears falling down your shirt.
He tried to hold back, to not seem weak but there's something about your embrace, your words and you caressing his hair which just makes him want to cry. It's something he's felt since seven years whenever he felt sad and he doesn't know if he could ever live without it.

"It's okay..just let it out.." you whisper, keeping your tone quiet so he wouldn't hear it crack ever so slightly. You continue looking up, taking deep breath every now and then and wrapping your arms tighter around him, your fingers gently combing trough his hair.
"I'm so tired.." he sniffs against your shoulder, his voice strangled with hurt.
"I don't know what to do to keep her happy.. I feel like I'm going to die slowly and she doesn't even seems to notice it.. I'm so frustrated"
It hurts. It hurts so much to hear him say that. The way that he's still holding onto her after realizing himself that she doesn't even seems to notice how he's feeling just hurts.
"I know..I know you are.." you whisper against his hair again, feeling his tears soaking your shirt but neither of you could care less about that. You want to tell him that he needs to break up with her, you want to tell him that she's worthless and useless and dumb..and so much fucking more but you know that he would only disagree to that all, you've been trough that a bunch of times already.

After some more minutes he slowly but surely started to calm down, his tears now only stained on his cheeks and his words not so shaky anymore but nonetheless his grip around you stays just as tight as before.
His face is buried in your shoulder while he takes deep breaths to calm down completely, quiet sniffs fill the room.
"Thank you.." he whispers, his voice hoarse from all the crying.
"No problem..I'm here, always" Your words are quiet soft but also an unspoken promise, promising that you won't leave him.
He sighs and slowly lifts his head up to look into your eyes, his own filled with so many emotions. Vulnerability, exhaustion, gratefulness and just plain pain.
Your hand reaches to caress away his still lingering tears with your thumb, so gentle that someone might think you're afraid of breaking glass, like he's something fragile.
He slightly leaned into your touch, his body and heart reacting on an instant without him seeming to notice it. Your heart leaped in your chest at that, but you pushed that thought aside.
"I don't know what I'd do without you.." he whispers quietly, eyes locked with yours.
"I don't know what I'd do without you either.." you whisper back, letting out a soft sigh before pulling him into a hug one last time, his arms wrapping around you in a comfortable embrace, hinted with a longing. It didn't take you long to notice that he's touch-starved, like he's not getting enough physical affection in the last of time.
"I..I don't want to but I need to go.." he mumbles against your shoulder, a stark contrast between his words and the action of him hugging you even tighter.
You sigh at his words
"Wait..stay a little longer..just a few more minutes" you whisper, a very slight hint of desperation in your tone. You don't want him to go just yet, you're scared of leaving him alone in this state.
"I..okay" he answers, not really hesitating as well while he just buries his face more into your shoulder.
"Just a little more.."
