Igor makes his way to the nearby village. The conditions were very poor. There were several serfs that were barely making ends meet. Igor makes his way to a nearby bakery. He buys three loafs of bread. Then he makes his way outside. As he was about to leave, something comes to his mind.
Igor: Wait, wasn't I supposed to return this stolen bread?
???: Well, well, well. That was faster than we expected?
Igor turns around and sees the boys.
Igor: Speak of the devil.
Boy #2: Had fun with your little run? I bet you are greedy for more bread.
Igor: Ugh, you want your bread back? Here, it's yours.
Boy #1: Ha! You think that is enough? We have business to take care of *cracks knuckles*.
Igor: Hey, I am not here to cause more trouble, I gave you back your bread and got my own.
Boy #3: Not here to cause trouble? Just coming across us gave us a reason to give you hell.
Boy #1: We'll have a picnic once we are done with you!
Igor: Just let me go and I won't bother you ever again.
Boy #2: Oh, but we can't. We got shoes from you, food from you, what else? A mother?
Boy #3: Wait a minute, he does not even have a mother, because she placed her faith in that dumb priest. Boo-hoo.
Once Igor heard the comment about his mother, he immediately snapped. He placed sown the basket of bread and picked up a nearby rock.
Igor: *inhales and exhales sharply* You take that back right now!
Boy #2: *gasps* Oh no, he is gonna try and beat us with a rock *laughs*.
Igor runs towards the boys, but one of them picks him up by the collar. As his friends laughs, Igor fights back. He lifts his legs and kicks the boys right in the chest. The boy drops Igor and clutches his chest. The other two go after Igor. Igor slides under the first boy's legs, then stands up to strike the boy behind. In Igor's rage. He breaks the boy's nose with the rock. The boy who was chasing Igor turns around only to feel the rock right to his face. As he steps back, Igor tackles him to the ground and starts bashing the boy's mouth. That resulted in many broken teeth. Then, Igor focused his attention on the boy who grabbed him. While the boy was getting up, Igor through the rock right towards his head. The boy fell, and Igor ran to him. He picked up the rock and continued to bash it on the boy's head until he was knocked out. When Igor was finished, he looked at the stone to see that it was covered in blood. That however did not make Igor care. He got the justice he wanted.
Igor: *Pants* Looks like you three really did get something else from me. How does it feel now?
The boys do not respond, but Igor takes it as a victory for him. Then, he realizes that people were watching him and coming after him.
Igor: Oh man, time to go!
Igor quickly grabs the breadbasket and runs back to the old cabin. He quickly runs inside and shuts the door which startles Aunt Marie.
Aunt Marie: Igor, why did you come like you were in a stampede?
Igor: Well... um.
A loud bang is heard on the door which strikes fear in Igor's eyes.
???: OPEN UP RIGHT NOW!
Igor: (Shoot, this is not good)
Aunt Marie: Igor, let me deal with this.
Igor: But Aunt Marie, what about your condition?
Aunt Marie: Do not worry dear, I will be okay.
Igor backs away from the door while Aunt Marie gets up with her walking stick and opens the door. In front of it is a man with a thick beard, messy hair who is red in anger.
Aunt Marie: May I help you?
Man: Yes, I want you to send that boy away this instant!
Aunt Marie: Send away Igor!? What nonsense!
Man: He has gone too far this time!
Aunt Marie: What do you mean?
Man: *grunts* THAT BASTARD HARMED MY SON AND HIS FRIENDS!!
Aunt Marie: *gasps* Well excuse me young man, but I do not accept such language in my home!
Man: That does not matter, do something with that boy, or I will call the police!
Aunt Marie: Goodbye sir! *Closes the door*
Aunt Marie turns around and walks back to her rocking chair. Then she calls for Igor.
Igor: Y-Yes Aunt Marie?
Aunt Marie: Is it true? Did you fight those boys?
Igor: They were going to fight me anyway. I gave them back their bread and tried to avoid a fight. They just mentioned mother and it got me mad.
Aunt Marie: That's the problem Igor, you have a temper too short. You must learn to control it.
Igor: But they insulted mother!
Aunt Marie: I understand that you miss your mother, but that is no excuse to fight. Now we must leave.
Igor: What?
Aunt Marie: Tomorrow morning, we are travelling to Moscow. You need to be in a non-hostile environment.
Igor: But you can't travel!
Aunt Marie: Enough Igor, you are just uncontrollable! I am left with no choice. I will make the travel. Once we reach there, I will make you- *holds her chest and grunts*
Igor: Aunt Marie, are you okay?
Aunt Marie: Go to bed Igor.
Igor: But-
Aunt Marie: We will discuss more tomorrow, go to bed.
Igor: *sighs* Yes ma'am.
Igor goes to bed, almost feeling regretful for fighting. The next day, Igor wakes up. He still feels regretful for losing his temper and fighting. He wants to make up for it, but he knows that he has used up all his chances. Once Aunt Marie's word is said, it cannot be changed. Igor goes to Aunt Marie and finds her in her rocking chair. He tries to wake her up to tell her that he is ready for the move. The problem is that Aunt Marie would not wake up. Igor keeps trying to wake her up, but to no avail.
Igor: *gasps* N-No, this can't be. Aunt Marie? AUNT MARIE!?
Aunt Marie does not wake up, the stress from the argument with the man was enough to give her cardiac arrest. Tears build up in Igor's eyes as he loses the last known member of his family, and he collapses onto the floor. He stays in that position for about half an hour. He decides to go and call for help. Suddenly, he remembers that he is hated in the village. He was left in a turmoil. Igor could face trouble for showing his face again. Since he has no guardian, he will be forced to stay in an orphanage. For some reason, Igor thought it would be the best idea to be a lone wolf than to be living in the village orphanage. Igor gathers all he can, grabs the extra rubles, takes all the bread he can, takes the map from near the fireplace, and makes his way to the door. He looks back at Aunt Marie's lifeless body and, with an aching heart, bids a final farewell. He wanted to stay, but he had made up his mind. Igor leaves the cabin, looks at the map, and starts to head west.
