IDFB. The current season BFDI was in, which was taking place in Yoyle City. A weird season. It had one episode and was cancelled, but the objects still lived there. Interesting. At the same time, atop the peak of a snowy mountain, stood Cube. A gray cubic Algebralien who hated how he looked, how he sounds, how he acts, thinks, and talks, everything. He did love BFDI, though. Oh, he loved it so much, he was preparing to start his own show inspired by it.
Cube stared at the beautiful city from atop the Yoyle Mountain's highest point, balancing on it as the moon rose and softly illuminated the chilling snow. It was bustling with life and had lights, which was strange. At least, some of it had lights. Half of it was still abandoned. Wasn't it abandoned a few years ago? Those plants that infested it must have been cleared out. An emotionless expression on his face, he was cold and tired. So, he tilted. He fell. He rolled. All the way down the mountain's expansive landscape, covered in cold snow and sharp, jagged rocks. A couple minutes later and he was at the bottom, covered in cuts, a deep gash in one of his curved corners.
[The plants are a reference to Fear Garden: Scarlet's Bloom.]
'Just a flesh wound,' he thought to himself as he explored the city. There was a group of five tools of different grades walking down the street in the same direction as Cube. The iron one noticed how injured Cube is and whispers to the others.
Big mistake.
By alerting Cube to where they were, he immediately rushed towards them at an alarming speed, and one after the other, he sucked all five into his hand. 'Five down, twenty-eight to go,' Cube mumbled to himself as he wobbled down the street. Cars honked at him as he wandered into an intersection, and he almost was hit by a motorcycle. He grabbed that motorcycle out of the air and sucked the two objects on it into his hand. A mop and a broom.
Twenty-three kidnappings later and he only needed three more to start, and a co-host. A small purple star and an even smaller red asterisk are walking down the street, scared for their lives. Cube, still covered in wounds and actively bleeding, approaches them. He gets on one knee and offers a hand to the two. "Hey, little buddies. My name's Cube. Are you lost?" The asterisk timidly puts her hand on top of Cube's, and so does the star. They both nod their heads, walking with Cube. They must've been orphans if they were willing to take the hand of the guy who was nearly turned into Swiss cheese.
He hunted down the last three while carrying the two child-sized Algebraliens in his arms. A blocky green cube that constantly had a sad expression on its face had been slammed into a car by him before he joined the other thirty-two. A chocolate cake Pop with vicious instincts, sharp teeth, and a painful bite was a tough foe. Cube knocked him out after some trying, and the star and the asterisk were terrified. "One more until I can leave..." Cube said to himself, over and over and over. Each of the thirty-three he wanted had this specific *aura* to them, so he could find them easily.
"Bingo." Cube said loudly as he encountered a red desktop fan. He snuck up on him from behind and quickly sucked him into his hand. By this rate, Star and Asterisk had been placed on top of Cube, and their legs had sunk into his body do they wouldn't fall off. A long, silent walk back to the bottom of the mountain, fighting off intrusive thoughts. He had just kidnapped thirty-five innocent people. But he couldn't turn back now.
This would be the original contest that took place during IDFB that sent several innocent objects spiraling into insanity. This would be BFIPC. In the end, it's just a show, and everyone's memories can be removed in the snap of a finger. What happens if someone remembers after those little "resets?" Let's not think about that.
The base of the mountainside. Cube thought about going up there and releasing the objects, but the Algebraliens on his head would freeze solid before he could even start getting the first few out of his hands. The plains below it would have to do.
One by one, he spat the objects out of his hands and onto the soft, moist, green grass. This was Cube's lawn, and he catered to its needs better than his own. Thirty-five objects now laid face-up in the grass, in a circle. They were all sleeping peacefully.
He would have to wait a bit for them to wake up.
In the meantime, he started chopping down a tree using an axe he summoned from his left hand like the Minecraft creative inventory menu. Bit by bit he got more wood as the tiny Algebraliens fell asleep on his head, cozy and half-sunken into him. He made the wood into planks. He made a crafting bench. He made a Pickaxe, too, and went mining for stone. He got that stone and made a furnace. He started assembling planks and logs.
Three hours later and he had a cozy little cabin with a fireplace going, and a lot of tree stumps. He removed the two Algebraliens from his head and set them on the warm floor. Not too close to the fire to avoid them burning. Not too far from it so they wouldn't get cold. Dawn was starting to approach, and the first rays of light passed the small hills as the sun rose. These rays of light started hitting the objects. It got in their eyes sometimes, and they squirmed in their sleep.
He stood in the center of the circle, sitting in his beautiful grass as the sun warmed him, his wounds no longer bleeding. He would need to eat something to regenerate. One by one the objects woke up, confused as to where they were and in a sleepy daze.
Little did they know, they would never be going back home, EVER again.
