I always jinx myself.

I got detention for being late for first period. Finally it was lunch. I sat with Harper and Susan in our usual seat. I was telling them what happened yesterday until I spotted Ryan's friends smiling while looking at us he was seating in the popular group. No one in school knows where step siblings. So I couldn't tell Susan and Harper about why I was late. Jason one of Ryan's friends heads toward us he has a smirk on his face. "Hey alex, want to come sit with us," he says.

"No thank you I'm fine in my seat."

"That's ok me and my friends will seat with you." he waves at blake,Steve and Ryan to come here. Blake and Steve came but Ryan didn't he look kinda pissed.

He squishes himself next to me and blake and steve sat with Harper and Susan. He took out his phone and he text someone something with a smirk.

What are the school bad boys /jocks doing sitting with my friends and I.

Ryan's POV

I receive a message from Jason saying ' man, she's hotter up close. You should come'

I want to laugh he seriously is telling me how she looks I've know her since she was eight.

I glance back at her table an I see Jason Trying to flirt with Alex. Which isn't working because she isn't into flirty guys. But then he gets close to her and puts his hand on her chin to kiss her. She try's to push him but it's not working. I got mad I was getting up until someone pushed Jason from Alex.

Alex POV's

"I'm sure the girl is trying to get away from you." I heard someone say while pushing Jason to the floor. I look up and see josh. Josh is my best guy friend. He has light brown hair and gray eyes. Hes really tall and muscular. All the girls last year use to hate me because I was friends with him. If we haven been so close I would probably ask him out but that would ruin our friendship.

"What the hell man, Jason says with a smirk. I was about to make a move."

I don't know why but josh looks mad he gets closer to Jason and punches him. " Go flirt with some slut you freakin ass. He says before walking towards me and says " are you ok." I reply with a nod and we head out of the cafeteria.
