It was a few, slow days later when someone visited him down in the lab. It was honestly a bit of surprise hearing a knock on the door to the room he was in, glancing over.

"Hello? Um, TestTube told me you should be in here? I just... Wanted to let you know I'm here before stepping in,"

It sounded like Soap. Considering everything with Trophy, well, he was honestly surprised she'd ever want to see his face again. It was basically his fault that he... Wasn't exactly around anymore.

But now wasn't the time to think about that, or wallow too hard.

"Um... Okay?"

The door creaked open, Soap peeking in. She looked tired. Still very clean, and put together, but the slight bags under her eyes told a different story.

MePhone didn't really know what to say at the moment. What could he say to make anything better? He just waited for her to talk again. She moved over, looking at the room itself, before moving to sit on the other end of the couch.

"TestTube asked me to come see if I could help out with anything?"

"... You know about it all?" He glanced away, for once wishing his hair was in his face, but it wasn't.

"Yeah. Hah, uhm... How could I not at this point." She sighed out, fiddling with her hands a bit.

"... I'm sorry about Trophy," He blurted out, before slapping his hand over his mouth. He should've been more careful about that. She was probably still grieving, she--

"Yeah... But y'know, none of us would've guessed what would've happened." She looked away, her gaze focusing on the TV that was currently off.

Normally, it would've been on, just for any sort of background noise, but he wasn't feeling it much today.

"I'm still sorry though." He sighed out, lowering his hand to his lap.

"I don't think you have anything to be sorry over, but... Thanks anyways, I guess."

It was quiet for a bit, the two just sharing a bit of company. MePhone felt like maybe she was just here to feel a bit close to her brother in some way, or something, considering he was... Well, close to the guy. So he wasn't going to be rude to her or anything. He'd give her this.

After a while he zoned out a bit in his thoughts, though when he blinked back into focus, he noticed the girl staring at him.

"I think I know a way I could help out, if you'd let me,"

"... What?"

Her expression shifted a few times, just seeming unsure, before finally saying it;

"It might help if you don't look so... Uh, no offense-- awful. I could probably fix your hair for you. I'm sure water isn't great for robots, but I'm sure dealing with your hair the way it is, isn't... Too great."

MePhone just stared at her for a moment.

"I-- um... I'm sure I could figure it out, haha; uhm..." He glanced away. The idea as a whole not being too great to him, but... It would be nice to have one less thing to deal with.

"It would probably be easier if someone else did it for you, though. But I won't push you about it," She shrugged, looking away again.

"Fine. Fine, just get it over with, please," He sighed out. If she really wanted to do this for him, as nervous as he was, he'd just deal with it. And as much as he liked his longer hair, it just wasn't worth all this hassle. "Just not too short, please."

"We'll see what I can do," She offered a small, polite smile his way.

Which is how MePhone found himself sitting in a small stool with his back to one of the sinks in the main lab room. Soap had gone back up briefly to gather a few things, and was currently setting it all out.
