It was a rainy Saturday when it happened. The Akaguro family had beee driving over a long winding bridge when out of nowhere a villain attacked. Chizome the oldest sibling who had recently finished at U.A High School and was starting to realize how bad the super hero organization was and how it was plagued by capitalism did what he could to hold off the villain. But the hero's got there too late. At least for his parents, his younger sister on the other hand had survived thanks to her own quirk she had been able to all herself to escape the rushing river below and land on solid ground just as the heros arrived. Chizome ran over to his sister who was soaking wet and sobbing. She has witnessed her parents death first hand. Maybe that was the final nail in the coffin for him, or maybe it was the heros criticisms of Chizomes actions after the villain had escaped their grasp. Ethier way Chizome dropped his younger sister off at their grandmother's and while she tossed and turned that night he had a long talk with their grandmother. Of which Akari could only make out the whispers of. The first week was torture Chizome had mysteriously disappeared after the funeral the only sign he had ever been apart of Akaris life being a brightly beaded bracelet that Chizome had a matching one of. Akari didn't know what had happened to her brother until 2 whole months after he left. She had been seated at the dining room drawing with her grandmother in the living room knitting while the TV showcased an interview with Allmight. When suddenly the channel changed to a breaking news story. Akari went over to get a better look. The newscaster was talking about someone murdering a hero, but the villains face was that off her....her brother. The little girl couldn't believe her eyes her brother was the furthest thing from a murder. But there he was. The grandmother noticed her granddaughter watching the TV as well and quickly sent her to bed closing the doors separating the kitchen from the living room. The rest of the night Akari sat outside the paper doors trying to listen as best she could. She didn't think it could get much worse after little girls don't often imagine disturbing things. But then the whispers started. Everyone at school now knew who she was, or more accurately who her brother was. Not a single person talked to her. And as the years passed and her brothers infamous reputation grew Akari became used to a life of solitude. Except with her grandmother. Violet despite her kindness had completely erased Chizomes presence from their home, simply pretending he had died. And that was partly true, some of him had died that fatal day. But otherwise Akari was used to being alone. So much so that when she met Shoto Todoroki at the beginning of junior high school she was so surprised by his kindness she thought a prank was being played on her. Somehow the son of the famous hero Endeavor had ended up going to the same junior high as Akari.

The first day Akari had sat down alone during lunch and started picking at her food. So far it seemed as though this year would be exactly the same as the last. She had been playing with the water in her cup moving it up and back into the cup when a boy came up to her.
"Hi there, is anyone sitting here," Thr question surprised her so much she completely lost concentration on the water she had been using and accidentally caused it to fall and land in the table splashing her and the boy who had asked to sit with her in the first place.
"Oh my I'm so sorry, it's just you startled me, people never seat with me you see and well I got distracted usually my quirk is a lot more under control-" before she could continue her rambling Todoroki cut her off
"I'll take that as a no, I'm Shoto, Shoto Todoroki," he said sitting down across from her.
"Wait a moment your Endeavors son," she said realizing that she had just splashed a famous hero's son with water.
"Yes, though don't judge me based of my father,"
"I know what you mean Akari Akaguro," At first Todoroki was confused by what Akari had said, until he recognized the name Akaguro, that was the last name of the infamous Hero Killer known by most as Stain, now it was time for realization to dawn in his eyes as he realized he was sitting across from the infamous Hero Killers younger sister. But somehow an unlikely friendship formed between the pair. Maybe it was due to their family legacies or maybe it was in spite of that but somehow a friendship was born. Akari was the only person Todoroki really liked and was the only who could make him act silly and unserious. And Shoto was the only who could make Akari let her carful no chalant playful guard down. Most days the didn't interact with anyone besides each other. And the both agreed to try and get into U.A. And surprising enough they both got in. Akari had gone above and beyond to make sure her connection to Stain wouldn't affect her chances.

The night before the first day Akari went to her parents graves. Her brother had wrote to come there if she ever wished to talk to him. Though so far it hadn't worked, Chizome was still her brother.
"Akari," came a voice the small teen turned to see her older brother he wore a black cloak to disguise himself. His face was aged and tired with dark crimson eyes and mess black hair reflecting Askari's own
"Chizome?" Akari asked eyeing the strange man, not willing to believe it.
"It's been a while, you've grown up lil sis," he said holding out his wrist revealing a brightly colored beaded bracelet
"You still wear it?" Akari asked him
"I may be perceived as a villain but I will always be your brother Akie," he said letting her old nickname slip through
"Zome it really is you," she cried running over to him and engulfing him in a hug. The hug took the villain by surprise he hadn't seen his younger sister in so long yet somehow she was still the same shy rambling girl she had always been. Chizome hugged her back. And the lost siblings embraced on another for a bit before Chizome stepped back. He couldn't let himself get sucked back into his old world not when he still had so much work to finish
"So why'd you come?" He asked
"I got into U.A, I thought I should let them-and you-know," she explained
"Really? Akari that's-thats good, your gonna be a good hero, I know you are,"
"And if I'm not?" She asked voicing the question that had been rattling around inside her head ever since her acceptance letter had come.
"I'll let you know to retire, you're still my lil sis,"
"I'm glad to get it Zome, I'll try my best to not let you down,"
"You could never let me down, but I should be going, good luck at U.A Akie, hopefully one of us will turn out okay," he said before disappearing into the night. Akari sighed and headed home, unsure what to make of Chizomes words. But she was determined to become a hero, to change her family's legacy to prove everyone wrong. But she also wanted to show her brother that there was another way to change the system.
