I mindlessly strum the strings of the guitar before tossing it on my bed. I groan and stand from the mattress, beginning to endlessly pace around the room. The past three days had been the exact same. Alex would pop in occasionally with food and drink, and sometimes with whatever I had requested the day before.

I asked for a guitar yesterday so I could fill the eerie silence when I was alone, which was most of the time. Though, it hurt to play it because it just reminded me of Tyler and my inability to see him. Oh, how I hope he was okay...

Alex had been administering medication to help with my occasional fatigue and lightheadedness. I wasn't sure what it was from, but whatever he was injecting into my body was doing wonders.

If they were checking up on my health daily, I could only assume the others were getting the same treatment. I hope what they were doing was enough to make Aiden and Tyler feel better...

When I shift into the phantom world, it gets even lonelier. Our bodies had reset to this room, rather than still being back home. That meant that I was stuck behind this white door in both worlds.

"I need to get out of here..." I mumble under my breath as I stare up at the locked door.

Alex always carries a keycard on him, but I'm not sneaky enough to pull theft off. My best bet would be to threaten him into handing it over-

No, he doesn't deserve that. He's been nothing but sweet and understanding. What kind of person would I be to take advantage of that?

Kill him.

The hairs on the back of my neck stand straight up. I shake my head, forcing the distant thoughts out of my conscience.

My head snaps toward the door when it clicks and pushes open. Alex pokes his head in with a tray of food. It wasn't as good as a homemade meal, but it was better than what I was given on my first day.

"I brought your dinner," He speaks as he shuts the door behind him and sets the tray down on the table.

I ignore the rumbling in my stomach when my eyes lock on the knife sitting in the tray. I hold back a grin, finding it humorous how stupid he was to give me access to one.

No, I'm not going to kill him.

I walk over to sit on the edge of the table with him, "Thanks, Alex."

He quietly watches as I pick up the knife and cut the poorly cooked ham into small strips. I intentionally rest my hand dangerously close as I cut through the meat. The blade then knicks my finger, causing blood to flow out immediately.

"Y/N!" He exclaims and takes the knife from my hand. He then holds my hand up to inspect the cut. It was deep, which was what I was aiming for.

I hear him mutter under his breath before he gets up, "I'll stitch you up. Don't touch the cut."

He rushes out of the room, closing it behind him. I cradle my hand, not expecting it to sting that much. I wait for his return, slightly surprised my idea worked. Stitching needles are awfully thin, yet tough. It was small enough for me to meddle with the keycard system by the door. If I could shut down the lock system from inside, I was good to go.

We were free to move as we please while in the phantom world, since we were the only ones who could go in it. This gave us an opportunity to memorize every room and hallway in this facility.

Alex returns with a kit and kneels before me. I watch intently as he begins to thread the needle through my skin. I wince, wishing he had put something to numb the pain.

"Sorry..." He apologizes as he tightens the stitches, closing the wound on my finger, "And....all done."

He cleans up my hand and the blood that trickled down my arm. Alex glances down at the watch on his wrist and sighs. He doesn't even spare me a glance as he begins to package everything away. I try to reach for the needle, but he's too quick with it.
