The Wild Mustang

Chapter 3

A week gone by and Mason haven't said a single word about that mustang. There are only 3 weeks left of the summer holiday and Mason wants to make it count. He wants to do something that he would remember and can look back to.

Sam ( short for Samantha )

"Mum, do I réally need to go to this ranch?!" Sam and her mum is on their why to Horse Family Ranch. Sam's mum is good friends with Mason's dad, but Mason knows nothing about Sam. Not even about her mum, and as usual his dad forgot to tell him about the visit. "Yes honey, you will be in good hands. I have to go away for a few weeks and you can't go with me and I have no money to book you in at a hotel."

I could not believe my mum just dropped of and drove away. She didn't even said goodbye.

So, I'll show my good manners and go knock at the door. I thought when walking towards the front door.
" And who are you exactly?" " Ooh uhm... my mum dropped me of and said I am going to stay here for the rest of the holiday. I'm Sam (short for Samantha) and what's your name?!" The boy (I guess my age) just stands and keep staring at my as if there is something wrong with me. " Ooh, I'm Mason, the manager's son. So you say you are going to be here for 3 weeks?!" Finaly the boy replied (Now I know his name is Mason). " Yes, my mum said she knows your dad and that he knows that I am going to stay he for a while. Don't you know?!"
Now I am a bit confused because he doesn't know me at all and I think his dad didn't told him about me or my mum. "Uuuh... no, no I didn't know you were coming, but come in and my yourself at home."

Mason

I am freaking out! I hate girls like... ALOT and now there's one in our house (MY house) ánd she is going t stay here for the rest of the holiday (well, that's what she said). Right now I am so angry at mt dad for not telling me about Sam who is going to stay here. In wich room is she going to stay? Can she milk a cow? Most importantly ... can she ride a horse?

"Eeww! Get this thing of me!" Mixi was only liking Sam's hand, not that big of a issue! " Ooh, this is my dog ,Mixi, and she loves people. Looks like she likes you already has a soft spot for you." I said while rubbing Mixi's tummy.

"Sooo!?" I said just to break the silence. " Lets go and find my dad, then maybe he can show you your room, you can unpack your things and we can get out of each others hair!?" So now we are at the stables looking for my dad. " I didn't know you had horses?!" Sam said quite unexpectedly. " Uuhm, this is Horse Family Ranch, of course we have horses. And this one is mine, Felix." I was shocked when she asked about the horses (last time I checked she was not blond, that's for sure!) We were standing at Felix's stable at suddenly Sam asked " Why is there so much straw and grass in here?And it's really dirty in here." " Uuhm, the horses eat the grass and straw, and the workers only clean the stables on Saturdays when we are out ... uuh, riding."

I surely don't want to say that we are going to go and find that horse again otherwise Felix is going to be taken away. And how does she not know what the staw and grass is for?! That's one of the many, many reasons I no not like girls. This is going to be the longest 3 weeks of my life!

"Hey dad, Sam's here and she , ánd I, are wondering which room in the house is hers." my dad is busy grooming his horse with a thick brush. " Aren't you suppose to comb his main with that brush?!" Little miss 'know it all' are asking these stupid questions as if she knows the answer. " No Sam, we use this thick brush to groom the horse's body. We use a hair free comb to comn the horse's main and tail." My dad is busy proving Sam wrong while I am at Felix, busy giving him his medicine. " Oooh, you give horses that stuff so that they run faster and jump higher!" Sam shouted from outside Felix's stable. " What?! No, this is his medicine, 2 months ago he had a knee problem and he is still recovering."
