Author's pov:
Y/N kept greeting and bowing at the directors, producers, workers and all the other actors gathered in the room.
It was so crowded and noisy. She followed her manager to one of the seat and sat, inhaling a huge amount of air. The seat beside her, reserved for the main lead of the drama was still empty.
The actor playing the second lead caught her attention and smiled over at her before walking towards her. They had a small chat, getting to know each other and how they got their offers.
Apparently she has to wait for the male lead to arrive and only then they'll start the script reading. It annoyed her to a certain extend.
She stood up from her seat and lowly whispered to her manager "I wanna get out to breathe some fresh air. I'll come in after the actor arrives."
Before her manager could protest, she quickly exited the room, wearing a sweet smile.
Outside the building wasn't quite either. A lot of production people were scattered here and there, having their own discussions. But it was still better than the meeting room.
So many people inside a small room, it made her feel suffocated. She was never fond of humans. Only a few could make her feel comfortable. Otherwise, she totally prefers locking herself all alone inside her room for the rest of her life.
She silently watched all the commotions taking place. Time to time, someone would have eye contact with her and she'd quickly bow with a smile.
It made her feel much more relaxed and in peace. She stood there leaning, with her arms crossed over her chest, watching everything going on around her and also mentally cursing whoever the actor is for being late.
Suddenly Y/N felt a tap on her shoulder. She quickly turned back and saw a young girl, smiling warmly at her.
She bowed and said "Unnie, I'm a big fan of you! You're very pretty!". She chuckled and said "Thank you! You're really pretty too!"
She handed Y/N a tray full of cookies and said "We've just opened a bakery nearby and we're trying to promote it. You can have a fortune cookie, Unnie. Please?"
Y/N smiled as she quickly took one. "Don't really believe in these kinda stuffs but I'll still take one cause the cookie tastes nice!"
She giggled and said "True or not, someone as nice as you would definitely have an amazing fortune!"
I laughed at her and said "You're smart with your words...you sure can win a lot of customers. I'll definitely come over to your bakery sometime later".
She smiled and thanked Y/N before going off to someone else to offer the cookies. She looked at the wrapped cookie on her hand and sighed softly. Her life is already miserable, how different can her fortune be?
To her, this kind of stuffs are just a fake hope to people. She never believes them but she also finds them interesting. She slowly unwrapped the cookie and took the tiny piece of paper hidden inside it.
She stared at the words written on the paper expressionlessly. Her mind was blank as she kept staring at the piece of paper. Her mind was telling her that it was all bullshit and literally anyone could have gotten that cookie.
But her heart said something else. She had an internal conflict as she stood there, not moving her eyes away from the words.
Suddenly her wave of thoughts were interrupted by a loud car horn's sound. She turned her head towards the noise, surprised by the sudden sound. Two cars were about to collide but was stopped just in time. The driver's window was winded down and a head popped out.Her eyes opened wide in shock at what she was seeing.
"I'm so sorry! Really sorry!" Said jungkook.Someone rushed towards the whole commotion and volunteered to park the car for him. Jungkook thanked the man and got down from the car as he saw her. He smiled through his eyes as he walked towards her.
"Y/N!" He said smiling at her. "Uhm hey...y-you part of this drama" she asked unsure of it.
He laughed adorably as he shook his head. "No way! I can't act for heaven's sake!" , "Ohh ah then why are you here?" I asked him.
Her heart was racing fast and her breathing was still abnormal. Her mind couldn't help but wander back to the fortune cookie. It was stupid of her but love really makes people stupid right?
"I gave a ride to my member and also my friend here." He turned and she followed his direction. That's when she noticed a tall guy getting out of Jungkook's car and jogging towards them.
He stood beside Jungkook and gave her a boxy smile. Anyone in Korea would recognise him, that's how popular his handsome face is. But looking at him, in real face to face really made her heart shake.
"This guy woke up late and was panicking so decided to give him a ride. So this is the drama you've been signed up for? I didn't expect this haha!"
The other guy gave out his hand and introduced himself as he let her hear his deep voice. "I'm Kim Taehyung. Absolutely nice to meet you! You look much prettier in real life than the screen."
She slowly gave out her hand and embraced his with hers. She mumbled a short introduction about herself and a thank you.
Her mind was just not there. She kept staring at the two men in front of her as confusion filled inside her. She felt a very strange feeling, an unexplainable one and she did not know why.
She never guessed that moment was the complete turning point of her life. Her whole life was gonna take a 360 degree change from that moment...
She remembered the words on note:
'You're about to meet someone that'll love you in a way you deserve to be loved.'
