Choi tae-ho was a detective in seoul, he was the most famous and the best detective, there was no criminal he couldn't catch well that was until a year ago.
A year ago on January 26th a psychopath serial killer started killing and his way of murdering was beyond brutal and his crime scenes were always spotless.
Tae-ho was pissed off because it seemed like the serial killer only became one to annoy him since he always made sure to leave a mocking message at every crime scene of his.
He groaned in frustration as he sat on his desk looking at the cctv of a house that was next to the latest murder scene he was about to give up when he saw something on the screen.
A person, the person was dressed in all black but his face was visible, it was as if that person wanted to be caught on the camera as if it was a trap but Tae-ho was desperate to catch him.
He wasted no time into putting the mans face on the system and he was shocked to find a match and he wasted no time in taking his gun and running to his car.
He drove to the man's address and when he forced his way in the house, no matter how much he searched he didn't find anyone and his eyes fell on the window in the room it was facing the woods and Tae-ho immediately run out of the back door and into the woods.
He knew it was stupid and that he shouldn't act on his own but he couldn't risk losing the killer again just because he was following the rules.
When he walked deeper into the woods he heard something and thats where he saw the man who had been caught on the cctv standing in front of him.
"So you're the fucker who has been killing these innocent citizens?" He questioned as he pulled his gun out of his waistband and pointed at the man who fell to his knees.
"I promise it's wasn't me, I would never kill anyone!" He begged as he sobbed and the hatred in Tae-ho's chest grew even more as he looked at the man in utter disgust.
"As If I would believe you" Tae-ho spat out as his hands shook out of adrenaline but he tightened his grip on the gun he was holding and right when the man was about to speak he was cut off as someone from behind sliced his throat off and the man's severed head rolled until it stopped right at tae-ho's legs as he looked down at the severed head in utter terror.
"He was telling the truth, he was just my scapegoat" a familiar voice spoke as Tae-ho looked up at the man with wide eyes like a deer caught in headlights.
"H-hyung?" He stuttered looking at the person closest to him, "w-what are you doing here?" He questioned as he tried to deny the obvious truth.
"Ah Tae-ho you've always had a poor judgement towards humans, you just trust anyone, that's why you didn't even suspect me as the killer" The other male laughed satanically.
The killer he's been looking for, for over a year was his coworker, a fellow detective and his best friend who had seen him suffer the most because of the serial killer which was him all along.
The surprise he was feeling was quickly overcame with hatred, he placed his finger on the trigger but before he could even press it a knife flew towards him directly hitting his chest, tearing his flesh and stabbing his heart which was already stabbed by the man's betrayal.
He fell to the floor as his knees gave out and he laid there with a knife piercing through his chest as he chocked on his own blood which was building up in his throat as it was becoming even more difficult to breathe by the second.
He looked at the man who he called his best friend for years as his eyes were filled with true hatred as he looked at tae-ho's body which was laying beneath him.
"W-why j-jae-min h-hyung" he chocked on his own blood as his face splattered with blood as he spoke, he looked at the man standing next to him while looking at him with mocking pity.
"This is a lesson Tae-ho, a lesson to teach you to never trust people in your next life" Jae-min laughed as he crouched next to Tae-ho's body as he caressed his cheeks almost lovingly.
"So this is how everyone in the kdrama duty after school must've felt after dying by the hands of someone they trusted, I now understand how it feels to be betrayed" Tae-ho thought to himself as his eyes fluttered closed as his soul left his body.
As Tae-ho opened his eyes again he wondered if he was dead or all of this was a sick dream, he looked around and found himself in a blue place and he saw a blue wall that looked like slime.
He got up and walked towards the wall and his curiosity got the best of him as he pushed his hand through the slime like wall and suddenly he felt his eyes shut close and the next time he opened his eyes it was very noisy.
Of course all of this must've been a dream he had when he fell asleep after overworking himself, as he raised his head a he quickly realised he was in a classroom and he cursed as he looked around in confusion.
As his eyes quickly scanned the room he was quick to notice the characters from the kdrama duty after school and his eyes widened as he saw ms.park enter the classroom with something in her hands.
"What the actual fuck" he muttered as he looked around, he pinched himself to make sure he wasn't dreaming and he cursed once he felt the stinging feeling from the pinches, so Jae-min betraying him wasn't a dream after all.
