A maiden crossed me when I was going for my bike. Her eyes seemed to tell you things you've never even imagined. There was an unworldly charm in her. If looks could kill, I'd have been dead long ago.
She approached me.
"I wanted to thank you, for saving my life through such a miracle. You granted me another chance, Merletta? If I remember it right."
"My pleasure, Miss—sorry, I can't recall your name."
"It's Vanessa, your old friend. I hope you remember me, I guess."
"Ah, yes, Vanessa! I'm glad to be seeing you here after so many days." I acknowledged.
"We'd be glad to have you over for dinner tonight, Merletta. It'd be a grand celebration for my resurrection. I'd like it if you'd take the time to come over at this address," she handed me a piece of paper.
"I think I love you."
"Pardon?"
"I said I'd be there, Vanessa. See you at the dinner."
We parted ways.
