Chapter 3

(Your P.O.V)

I woke up the next morning with a huge headache. I got dressed and went into the bathroom still a bit confused I saw my cheek crusted with dry blood and black and blue bruises it all came flooding back Darry abused me again I remembered his words, " I'll kick you out of this house before you even know what happened." I signed and washed off and put on some makeup to cover the bruise. Pony and Soda could never know what happened between Darry and they would tell the fuzz and I would be homeless again with nowhere to go. Pony and Soda would be sent to a boys home and I would never see them again. I took a deep breath and wiped my tears away and had it into the kitchen for breakfast. I was usually home all day reading drawing and watching TV. My work started at five ended at 8:45 and I was usually home by, 9 Soda shift is from 445 to 7:30. He usually walks me down to the DX gas station then stays with me until it's time for his shift with him and I truly feel like I can talk to him about anything although I wish I could tell him everything. I get out some eggs and begin to make breakfast for everyone Pony's at the counter talking to me and Soda's still in bed. Pony asked what happened last night and I told him I don't remember. Darry then can't come into the kitchen and. " reminds " me that I fainted. I play along until Ponyboy how dizzy I felt. Just an icy soda step out of the shower and only a towel. I probably should've looked away, but I didn't. He was just so perfect long golden hair solid six pack. I think he caught me staring at him and gave me a little wink, my cheeks felt flushed and I could tell I was blushing bad

(Darry P.O.V)

Ugh the little rat y/n better not be telling Ponyboy or Soda about what actually happened. She's dead to me I hear y/n Ponyboy talking in the kitchen and hurry and to make sure my cover not blown. " Good". I thought she covered the bruise. I walked up to her making breakfast and made sure she knew " what had happened". "Y/n are you feeling better after fainting last night?" ask her." I guess so." She replies with a subtle glare "fwew". I signed that could've been bad.

(Ponyboy P.O.V)

I wake up and go into the kitchen to see  y/n already up making breakfast. I asked her what happened last night and she said she doesn't remember. She is my best friend and has been since we were too. I can tell when she is lying and something is up. Darry comes into the kitchen and ask her if she is OK she replied says I guess she's lying again. What is going on between them?! they exchange a glare then look at me and I quickly look away so they don't think I'm staring. We are all just sitting there and I pray for something to break awkward silence. Soda out of the shower and y/n Blushes " thank God" I say to myself as I said before y/n is my best friend and Soda is my brother. I can tell they both kinda have a thing for each other and that makes me a little jealous.
