Two months after the war

Everyone else on the ship was just as astonished as Nicholas, especially Annabeth as the city of Rome came into view. Thalia was gawking at the architecture. Jason was looking warmly at the place he called home, with Piper by his side. Leo was steering the ship, as usual. Nicholas on the other hand, looked at his birthplace with pride.

Now all they had to do was touch down and go retrieve Percy, Hazel, and Frank. Then their quest would begin.

"Nick! Come on down!" Piper called out from the ground as Nicholas looked down from the deck of the Argo II. Nicholas rotated his neck and took a few steps back before running upto the edge and jumping off. He shortly shadow travelled right next to Thalia.

"Show off." The Daughter of Zeus muttered.

The group began to walk down the streets, passing by the restaurants and cafés. Nicholas looked around, taking in the scent of his home.

"If only Bianca was here to see this. She would have liked Rome."

Annabeth was next to Nicholas, and she picked up on his tone. She was always the one who caught on fast, being the wisest out of the demigods with Frank in second.

"I bet she would have. Nico would have liked this too."

Nico was back at Camp Half Blood with Will, helping Mr. D and Chiron with the newer demigods

"So where will they be?" Nicholas asked after a long silence.

Thalia shrugged, her eyes casually surveying the area as they all walked. Jason and Piper were a few steps ahead, and Jason turned his head back to answer.

"They're all probably at the Senate House. That's where they usually hold the gatherings when the praetors think theres something big coming."

"I thought this was a rescue mission." Leo commented.

"It is. The praetors want to discuss the mission."Piper explained as the group turned a corner and came closer to the heart of New Rome. A large building loomed in the center of the town, its pristine white marbled columns rising up into the sky.

Jason and the others didn't hesitate, and began to make their way up the steps and into the building.

As they did, a few curious roman demigod onlookers from around town began to stop what they were doing and stare at you. Some whispered to one another, and some looked openly hostile. After all, you and the others were Greeks, and Romans didn't usually take kindly to uninvited visitors.

Nicholas glared at everyone as he walked past them.

Their lookks of curiosity immediately turned into looks of fear as they saw his glare. Jason gave an anxious look towards Nicholas from inside the Senate House, trying to send the silent message calm down. Thalia elbowed him in the side, giving the Italian a knock it off kind of look.

Nicholas raised an eyebrow at Thalia's gesture and just shrugged as they walked further.

"So uh...now what?" He wasn't the type to ask questions. But today was different.

The rest of the group had made their way to a hallway, which led to a room where the sound of the voices was coming from.

Piper looked back at Nicholas, trying to sound reassuring.

"We all walk into the meeting room and explain the situation. They should let us go after that."

The group walked inside the room, and every head in the room immediately turned to look at the,. There were other romans there, all sitting around a giant table. Most of them were wearing roman armor, some were in casual clothes, and others were dressed somewhere in between. The conversation and chatter slowly died down as people began to take notice of your arrival.
