Dear Diary...
No, too formal.
Dear... Notebook? Sketchbook?
Horrid.
Dear... Oh forget it.
I crumble the piece of lined paper in front of me as I sit cross legged of my bed, flustered with this idea that my therapist gave me. I had spent nearly 30 minutes on the stupid idea, and so far, I had nothing. I remembered giving Mrs. Garcia, (my therapist) a skeptic look and crossing my arms, arching a brow at her. "You really think writing in a dumb diary is going to help me work through my problems?"
"Of course I do." She replied back, mimicking my exact pose. "So quit trying to wiggle your way out of doing a 8 year old thing and just do it." I snorted, rolling my eyes dramatically. "Come on! You know I have a little brother, and the last thing I need is Matthew finding my book full of my "Deepest Darkest Secrets." Mrs. Garcia narrowed her eyes at me. "Come on, chica, I know you, and I know that, disparar, I've always known you! So just try it. And since then, (which has only been 1 day) I've tried my best to try her idea, but it was just... Dumb! Or what Garcia says: Muda! But to be honest... Mrs. Garcia says a lot of things.
"McKenna!!! HEEEELLLLLPPPPP!!!" Yowled Matthew from his room, right to me. I scowled bitterly, who knew what responsibility he'd dump on me? "Do it yourself Matt!" I yelled back. Me and Matthew's room was upstairs, plus a bathroom and a long closet. Downstairs has basically... Everything else. "McKenna Margaret Hadly! Go help your brother!" Yelled Mom from Downstairs. I groaned loudly, flopping down on my back on my bed, annoyed by everything. This was my life, or at least 50 percent of it. The other half... Was school. Which... Compared to home, was absolute heaven. "But Mom!" I yelled back, slowly trudging towards my brothers room. I sighed, I could never win in this family. "McKenna! There's a spider! It's huge!" He yelped, curled up in the fetal position. I rolled my eyes. "It's probably just one of the House Spiders." I mused. Matthew shook his head so hard, I thought it might fall off. "No way, that thing was as big as Spider man himself," he then twisted his neck but not his head-towards me. "BEHIND YOU!" He shreiked, jumping back. "I turned around and screamed at the top of my lungs.
Boy was I wrong.
