Finally after Mom released me from bed rest, I slid on a simple white shirt and a purple zip-up, and your everyday-white-jeans. Yesterday was Sunday which had been pretty traumatic. But I'm okay now, even if my tailbone is slightly bruised. I slid my study books and my computer in my bag, preparing for school, Mondays were usually the worst among the entire week, but they were still fine in my opinion.

My phone then buzzed in my back pocket, I sighed, maybe it was Adam?

Hey, is it OK if this week our meeting is later today at 5:30? -Mrs. Garcia. I snorted.

You don't have to put your name at the end of a text, it says your name ABOVE the text box you know- and i dont know, it depends on Julia. I replied, Julia was my mom. I almost typed in my Dads name, James, but it's not like he would have an say on it, he lived in Utah now with his girlfriend.

I then jumped into the passenger seat of my Moms black GMC Sierra which was pretty big, but inside it could probably hold up to 5-6 people. "Hey Mom," I said. "Yeah what is it?"

"Garcia wants to do the meeting today, that okay?" I asked, I only received a curt nod. We then spent the next 24 minutes, bopping our heads to music and driving me to the amazing, absolute legend, Pertentrum Middle School.

I hopped down and waved goodbye to Mom, "Sia!" I said. She smiled and mouthed. "Love you."

While she drived away I spotted Adam, scrolling on his phone, "ADAM!" I yelled, while giving him a hug. "How are you doing?"

Adam smiled down on me, being taller, he had to slightly tilt his head down. "Hey there Mickey!" He said, his voice light and joyful, but to be honest that's how it always sounded like.

"Sorry, you know how it is, Mom's," I say with an eye roll, he nods in agreement. "So... Here's that salad." He said, handing me a plastic tray. I smile. So does Adam, we then laugh, feeling silly for no reason.

If only that were true.
