YouTube belongs to Google. I don't own YouTube. Obviously.
It's 2013. Mabel and Dipper have come back for another summer, as now 13 year olds. Dipper has started posting his old Guide to the Unexplained videos on YouTube. One day, he was in the middle of posting one of the videos shown Ford walked in.
F: Hey, what's that?
D: Oh, this? It's a video from last summer. I've been posting them on YouTube. This one was from before I knew you were the author.
F: ..Tube..You? What?
Dipper turns around in his swivel chair and looks at Ford with a look of amusement and surprise.
D: You don't know what YouTube is?
F: I'm..afraid not.
Ford sits in a nearby chair.
F: could you explain it to me?
D: I- sure..! To cut it short, YouTube is a website! It came out in 2006, and basically it's a place where you can post and search for videos of all kinds.
F: hm..is that what you're doing now? 'Posting' a video?
D: y-yep! I-it's a video from a series of videos I made last summer about the weird stuff here. I'm just posting it here to see if other people see stuff like what we saw and to archive it. I'm posting it now because my mom didn't allow me to have a channel last year, but since I'm 13 she said I can have one now!
F: interesting..maybe I'll start 'posting' something there.
Dippers face lights up as he looks at Ford.
D: Y-you totally should! I-I can't fully help you because of my own channel and projects, but I can help set you up!
F: No need. I wouldn't want to bother you and your own research. Stanley is persistent with this technology, I'll just bother him.
Ford winks and smirks at Dipper and Dipper laughs. They joke around a bit more before Dipper goes back to his work and Ford goes to find Stan's computer.
