Abraham, Marcela, Chris, Suzette, and A.B. are all waiting anxiously for Selena, hoping that she makes it through.

"I'm so worried... do you think Sel's gonna be okay?" Suzette asks.

"Of course she'll be okay," A.B responds. "I'm sure of it. She's our baby sister, she can't be taken away from us so soon..."

Chris stays silent. He keeps shaking his leg, praying to God that Selena will make it through. "Please be okay, please be okay..." He whispers, frantically begging.

Abraham walks back and forth anxiously, hoping that his daughter will be alright and safe.

"Do you think she'll be okay, Abraham?" Marcela asks. Abraham stops in his tracks, looking at Marcela. "Of course she'll be okay, she HAS to be. She can't just be gone like that..."

The doctor comes out of the hospital room, making the whole family urgent to know if Selena is okay or not. "How is she?" Abraham asks immediately, wanting to hear the news.

"She seems to be doing alright. She needs to stay in the hospital for maybe at least a week or two, though." The doctor replies, making everyone sigh with relief.

"Thank goodness... Um, are we able to visit her right now?" Marcela asks, stepping in. The doctor shakes his head.

"Not right now, no. But we'll let you know when it's time." The doctor smiles softly.

April 7th, 1995:
Selena's family, especially Chris, comes to visit her after a week of being in the hospital. They're very eager to see her again and can't wait. Chris goes first to see her.

"Selena..." Chris walks in, closing the door behind him. Selena chuckles weakly. "Chris, hey... it's nice to see you here." She smiles. Chris grabs a chair and sits by her. "I, uh... I got you flowers." Chris says, offering her a bouquet of flowers. They were beautiful white roses.

"Oh, Chris! I love them... thank you so much." She stares happily at the bouquet of flowers, then back to Chris and hugs him. Chris returns the hug back.

"I'm so glad you're okay, I thought I was gonna lose you... I don't know what I would've done without you, Selena." Chris says, staring at Selena with a soft smile. Selena chuckles. "You could never lose me, silly. And even if you did, I'll always be by your side no matter what, even if I'm... you know, dead." The couple laughs together and kisses one another. "Okay, I gotta go. I'll see you when you get out, okay?" Chris says as he stands up. "Alright, love ya, Chris!" Selena waves. Her family then comes in.

"Selena, are you okay? Are you hurt or anything? Is everything alright?" Marcela asks a bunch of questions, clearly still worried for her child. "Mama, I'm fine... I'm still a little weak, but the doctor told me I should be doing okay. And he also suggested that I take physical therapy too because of the gunshot..." Selena looks a little sad when she mentions the gunshot.

"Don't worry, we'll find you a physical therapist. I'm sure of it." Abraham steps in, holding his daughter's hand. They both smile at each other.

"Hey, Dad..." A.B. speaks up, having the entire family especially Selena pay attention to him. "I'm sorry, but is Selena still going to be able to sing and perform? I mean, considering her position right now, I'm not sure if it's a good idea..."

"Never mind that, what matters is that we get your sister the help she needs to get her back on track. We can't just immediately start performing after a serious event has taken place." Abraham replies, sounding firm but calm. "In the meantime, however, I need to reschedule the concerts Selena was supposed to go to... I'm not going to do that now but I will soon."

Everyone in the family nods in understanding, except for Selena. She seems really out of place and is zoning out.

"Buffy? You good?" Suzette asks in concern for her sister.

"Huh?" Selena snaps back to reality. "Oh... yeah, I'm fine. No biggie."

"Are you sure? You didn't seem too good..."

"I'm fine, Buffy, don't worry..." Selena giggles. "I'm just— tired, is all."

"Okay then..." Suzette replies, still concerned.

"Okay, well, I'll go get paper signed. I'll be right back." Abraham stands up and gets out of the room.

"Come on baby, let's get you out of that hospital gown..." Marcela says to Selena, helping her up.

"Okay..." Selena follows her mother.
