CHAPTER 5

~HOLDING ON TO YOU

She was sobbing and crying when she heard loud bangs on the washroom door she startled but then immediately composed herself and opened the door

Her eye widened when she saw the person it was sumedh he angrily caught her hand and dragged her she tried stopping him but she couldn't

Sumedh leave me" she said crying out trying to free herself which had no effect on him

He dragged her from the corridor where she kept trying to free herself when everyone saw that and gulped thinking what might happen to her whereas rakshith and aishwarya saw that their eye widened they came running to her to stop him

Sumedh! Sumedh! Please stop I'll.. I'll.. make sure she'll never mess with you again" aishwarya stammered looking at him with fearful eyes and worry for mallika

Sumedh she's new here she doesn't know about you please let her go" varun begged

And then abhay who was passing through the corridors saw sumedh dragging mallika holding her wrist his eyes widened in shock

Is.. is that di with sumedh? Why is he pulling her this way" abhay wandered in fear,his heart hammered in fear for his sister

He ran to them to stop him

Dii.." mallika heard a voice from behind which was her brother running after them to stop him with fear and worry in his eyes for his sister

Su.. sumedh.. please.. let go of her.." his voice trembled

Sumedhh... Please.. i beg you just let my sister go" he begged and pleaded which fell on the deaf's ears

He tried catching up his speed but he was too fast and was burning up in anger where no one could stop him

Sumedh.. please.." mallika cried out more

Mallika's heart pounded against her chest, her pulse quickening as she felt Sumedh's iron grip around her wrist

Her feet struggled to keep pace with him, she  felt truly helpless.

"Sumedh, please!" A faint voice called from behind, but it barely registered in his mind.

Basant and Siddharth, stood in a little distance. They wanted to stop him ,help her but they knew .No one could stop him, not even them

Ignoring everyone he pulled her to the rooftop

The cold wind whipped fiercely across the rooftop as Sumedh dragged Mallika with him,The wind blew a cold breeze through the rooftop as if the climate knew the storm coming ahead towards mallika but all she could focus on was the growing panic flooding her chest.

"Sumedh, stop!" she cried out, her voice trembling as she tried to free herself But his speed didn't slow down, his expression hard
He was taking her somewhere where she didn't know

As they reached the edge of the roof, a new fear gripped Mallika. Before she could process what was happening, Sumedh shoved her forward, stopping just as her body tilted dangerously over the edge. She looked down, her breath hitched in her throat,her legs shivering in the fear of falling down, she looked forward at him, her eyes full of fear

"Su.. su.. sumedh.. wha.. what are doing" she said her voice breaking, tears pooling in her eyes. Her body was angled so close to falling that the wind seemed to push her even further over the edge.

Sumedh's face was stone cold, his eyes burning

"You think you can get off me so easily after what all you did " He said in his cold yet dangerous voice

Her heart raced, and for the first time, real fear took over her mind, the possibility that he might actually let her go, that she could fall to her death with just the loosening of his grip.

"Sumedh..." her voice barely above a whisper, the fear choking her words. "Please"

He pulled her back just slightly, but her body still hovered dangerously over the edge. His fingers tightened around her wrist

"I could let you fall right now," he muttered, his voice dark and cold

Mallika's heart pounded in her chest. She felt the tears sliding down her cheeks,Every muscle in her body screamed for her to pull back, to get away from the edge, but she was helpless. Completely at his mercy.

"I-I'm sorry," she managed to stutter, the words tumbling out without thought, her entire body shaking. She wasn't sure what she was apologizing for maybe just to stop him from letting her go.

"Next time you'll know the cause of messing with him and don't think this is the end, you're gonna pay remember I'm not gonna let you go so easily" he said pulling her back from the edge and released her from his grip and walked away where basant followed him

She collapsed to her knees as he finally released her wrist. Her heart still pounding against her chest as if it would come out, breathing heavily she was still processing what had happened,she was still processing that how close she had been to the edge-to death her body trembling with fear.

Where both her friends and her brother with siddharth came running to her, aishwarya sat on her knees to mallika's level she directly took into a hug seeing the shock and fear on her face where mallika hugged her back feeling safe in her embrace. Aishwarya caressed her hair trying to calm her down though this sudden shocking action of sumedh was shocking and caused them fear but they were relieved that she was safe

How.. howw can someone be so cruel" said mallika with her shaking voice, her body still trembling, tears rolling down her cheeks

While breaking the hug

Mallika are you alright? Aishwarya said with concern cupping her face and soon abhay interrupted

Di.. di.. are you already? Are you hurt somewhere?" He said while checking if she had any wounds or that he (sumedh) had hurt her in anyway, he had tears pooled up in his eye, he was scared that he might lose her cause she was the only family he had and soon he took her into a tight hug, mallika hugged him back 

she took a while to calm down but she did manage to calm herself down because she didn't want to worry them and also she was strong enough though the recent incident had left her shaken she had to overcome it  

after a while they broke the hug though her body was still shaking she manage to pull up a smile on  her  face and wiped out the tears from abhay's face  

i.. i'm alright abhay" she said with a weak and faint smile 

stopp crying" then  varun irrupted them 

i'm sorry mallika! we could do nothing" said varun looking down with guilt and being disappointed on himself that he could'nt do anything to save his new friend from sumedh's anger 

mallika.. i'm sorry from his side!" siddharth apologized from his behalf 

mallika looked up to him

i know what he did was wrong and i totally don't support that but he's not a bad person it's just his anger which makes him go out of control sometimes but i'll try my best to look after that he would'nt cause any trouble to you and even you try to stay away from that would be better for you" sidharth said

Sorry for updating after so long and also for such small chapter my mind is just not coming up wuth ideas that's why i'm taking this long time to update a single chapterSO WHAT DO YOU THINK WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN NEXT TBH I MYSELF DON'T KNOW I HAVE NOT THOUGHT WHAT TO WRITE FURTHER BUT WILL TRY MY BEST TO UPLOAD THE BEST CHAP SOON AND HOW WAS THE CHAPTER I HOPE YOU ALL LIKE IT
