AN: This is up to 10 chapters in my ao3 if you're interested. This is the alternate route of my fic 'What Could Have Been' this is the red flag route so the pairing is Aeroc Teiwind x Linus Wolflake. Have fun!
Linus didn't think it would have gotten this far, the motivation behind his actions were malicious and selfish. His bitterness and anger affected his better judgment. To find out that your first love's marriage was because of another man's selfishness, brought the worst out of him. Rapiel Westport was only a substitute to Aeroc Teiwind, he had confirmed it seeing the ongoing war between the Bendyke and Aeroc.
The gall of that man to use Rapiel. Aristocratic society dictates that an alpha and omega relationship was the norm, for a stable household to prosper, a proper relationship must be established. Yes, Aeroc Teiwind and Rapiel Wesport had some similarities, they were distant cousins. But Rapiel Westport was innocent, wed to a man who doesn't value him. He had seen Bendyke look at Aeroc, it wasn't just hatred, something had happened between these two men. He doesn't know what it was, but he could see Bendyke parade his pregnant wife with little regard for Rapiel's comfort. Rapiel was a lovely creature that deserves love, an innocent man caught in an unspoken war between two men.
Aeroc was obviously avoiding the couple, his encounter with Linus had affected Aeroc's outlook. But still, he had that look in his eyes. He was in love with goddamn Clough Bendyke! Aeroc couldn't help but be pulled in some arguments.
Love can be a cruel motivator, it can hurt you and those around you. He could see that Aeroc was trying hard to not look affected, but he looks like a keg powder about to explode. Linus had stopped the first one, but the second one might be more dangerous.
It started with half curiosity and half bitterness, so Linus placed himself in this board of chess, to play. Aeroc was vulnerable, it was clear from his eyes, he was hurting. The young Count who was the star of many soirees, tea parties and other events, had suddenly distanced himself from the limelight. Excusing himself politely, he would go home earlier than usual.
"Please... do something...no more teasing, Linus" Underneath him was a beautiful creature writhing in pleasure. He tried covering his mouth, his fingers trembling. His messy golden hair glistened in the little light that entered Linus' bedroom. A thick bead sweat rolled down his neck, the scent of sweet and bittersweet was intoxicating, no addicting. Aeroc wasn't still used to this kind of pleasure, his blue eyes trembling with both fear and excitement. Anticipating Linus' next move, it made it even harder for Linus to restrain himself.
Did Linus understand what he was getting himself into, when he started this. Who knew that underneath the fortress of the immaculate Count of Teiwind was a naive but seductive creature. He look at Linus weakly and pleading to end the torture and do something. It started as an illicit affair. Neither had feelings for each other, nor any attraction, but this beautiful creature was crumbling from Bendyke's continuous existence. So he offered an unlikely solution.
Aeroc didn't lower his pride when Linus began this conquest, but like any nation conquered by a great man. He found Aeroc's weakness. He was weak to pleasure and sweet things, he especially loved kissing.
He would melt in Linus' touches. It was exhilarating to watch Aeroc bite his plump soft lips, trying to stop his moans from escaping. "You might bleed if you keep biting your lips like that." He smiled, his hand gently caressing Aeroc's burning cheeks.
It was hard to part Aeroc's legs before, he was always shy, like mimosa leaves by instinct he folds his legs, it was captivating. Never in Linus' life did he think of calling another alpha such words, but Aeroc was an exception. The enchantress succumbed to his own lust that he didn't resist Linus' touches. Aeroc was very sensitive, especially when he aims for his nipples, sucking them drives him insane.
Aeroc closed his eyes as he grabbed Linus' shoulder, hugging him tightly. "Linus...ah...ummm...do something" Linus barely started, but must be really driving Aeroc crazy, if he looks this lovely and desperate. Aeroc probably doesn't even understand what he is asking. They never went that far, unsure about this relationship. Regardless of his original intentions, he realized that he didn't want to hurt Aeroc.
It was obvious Aeroc has never been in a relationship, he could tell from their first kiss, he was confused by Linus' tongue devouring his breath. He didn't even know how to breathe. But despite that, he had that look of longing when Linus lets him go.
It started for all the wrong reasons, but now Linus couldn't possibly think of a life without this beautiful creature. He knew Aeroc was beautiful, everyone tried winning his heart or body, but Linus never saw him in that light. The Count was rigid and cold like a marble statue, he was a marvel to look at, but the man had little character. He lights up talking about his books, music and art. He didn't have attractive traits, at least none that Linus wasn't aware of before. Who knew that you need to dive deep under the sea, to see the most majestic of pearls.
Maybe, he should even thank Bendyke. Linus would never have indulged himself in such a notion, he wasn't particularly attracted to anyone in general.
His attraction with Rapiel Westport was his beauty and pure kind soul, a youthful man with a vibrant glow. A missed opportunity that had caused turmoil in his heart. A fantasy of making a family with a good man, but in the end it was just fancy of his mind.
But Aeroc Teiwind, he thought that his attraction was his resemblance with Rapiel, his sky blue eyes, gold blond colored hair and light pink lips. He was like a mature version of Rapiel, but now that he got a good look at Aeroc, he had a different beauty. If Rapiel was angelic, Aeroc was ethereal. He thought he was becoming as terrible as Bendyke. To fathom using an innocent person to indulge his self-interest. Did he expect himself to actually be attracted and be possessive with Aeroc, not in the slightest. It was surprising, but Aeroc was becoming an addiction. His soft skin was like silk, his waist was slender for an alpha and perfect for Linus' arms, and his tongue that spoke intelligible words was now laced with honey when he called Linus' name. Aeroc's scent for some reason is becoming sweeter, or was it his imagination, lust can make the mind weak and vulnerable. It was hard to tell. The scent lasts for a brief moment, each time he drives this enchantress to climax. In the high of pleasure, Aeroc's scent becomes sweet. But his scent wasn't that bitter unlike other alphas, it was light and pleasant.
He had been with several omegas in his life, but he never encountered someone who roused such flames. Aeroc was more than a pretty face, he was witty and had an adorable side. He wouldn't have known all of this if not for that fateful encounter.
His men spotted Aeroc wandering the Bottom Place that fateful day, the young Count had that troubled look you see when someone was pushed at the edge. He didn't do anything wrong or strange, at least nothing yet, thankfully. Whatever demon plagued Aeroc that day, Linus got to him first. His men brought the young Count to his headquarters at the Bottom and he interrogated him for hours.
Aeroc looked incredibly ashamed. His body and eyes were trembling, like a criminal he raised his head to look at Linus. When he did answer, he spat. "What if I was looking for trouble? I mean—I don't know. I'm not sure why I'm here, Linus. Everything in my head is a mess... and I'm not proud of it..."
