[Orchid]: Prophecy came true

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

This can't be real.

Me sitting in the backseat of Connor's car, pressed against his side, my hand intertwined with his in a strong grip and resting on his lap can't be real.

Him absentmindedly brushing my knuckles with the tip of his thumb, and the single act sending electric shocks down my whole body can't be real.

But God, it is.

After Connor told his friends that they were taking me home first, I expected Dylan to complain. But the guy just shrugged and made everyone hurry up, so we got to the parking lot through the backyard.

I hated to notice that Connor kept his distance from me as we walked past a couple of students, and even though it kind of stung, I didn't say anything. I have yet to come clean to Sydney, so it's not like I'd want everyone else to know before she did.

But to know what? That is the main question.

Sure, we were all over each other in the garden, as if we physically needed the connection to survive, but it's not like we talked about it.

There was definitely not much talking involved, only hands, mouths and whispers, and once we were on our way to his car, my brain, and emotions started to act out.

Everything we are is still unclear, and I resent that feeling.

Is this just a one time thing for him? Are we now officially in the talking stage, or is he already my boyfriend? Is he going to say this was just another mistake, or admit he did it for revenge?

Of course, I know how I feel about him and I want nothing else just to be his, but I also have no idea what is going on in that beautiful head of his.

When we reached Connor's car a while ago, he pulled his keys out of the pocket of his pants and tossed it to Dylan.

"You drive," he said curtly, before opening the backseat door and staring at me to get in first.

He slid in after me and once he shut the door behind himself, his left hand immediately found mine, interlacing our fingers and resting them on his lap.

When my cheeks turned pink, noticing how huge his hand was in mine, and my surprised eyes found his, they were already watching me with a hint of amusement.

"You nearly fucked me on that bench, and now you're getting all shy just because I'm holding your hand?" He said with an addictive smirk, having too much fun teasing me.

My eyes went wide as I searched for Dylan and Kai, but they were just getting in then, so they haven't heard him say it... Hopefully.

"Shut up," I mumbled, trying to sound as threatening as he did when he was angry, even dug my short nails in the back of his hand, but he just smiled, making a shiver run down my spine.
