Tahir's grip on Y/N's hand tightened as they exchanged vows. She felt like she was suffocating, trapped in a nightmare.
As they turned to face their guests, Tahir's smile was triumphant. But Y/N's eyes scanned the crowd, searching for an escape, searching for Vijay.
The reception was a blur of forced smiles and fake laughter. Y/N's heart wasn't in it. She was counting down the minutes until she could escape.
Tahir's voice cut through the noise, his words dripping with possessiveness. "My beautiful wife, Y/N. You look stunning today."
Y/N forced a smile, her eyes flashing with anger. "Thank you, husband."
Tahir's eyes gleamed with triumph. "I'm so glad you're finally mine."
Y/N's heart twisted in her chest. She would never be his.
As the night wore on, Tahir's grip on her hand never loosened. Y/N felt like a prisoner, trapped in a gilded cage.
But she refused to give up. She would find a way to escape, to find Vijay, to be free.
The music changed, and Tahir pulled her close, his breath hot on her ear. "Dance with me, wife."
Y/N's skin crawled, but she had to play along. For now.
As they danced, Tahir's words dripped with malice. "You'll never leave me, Y/N. I'll never let you go."
Y/N's eyes flashed with defiance. "I'll never be yours, Tahir. My heart belongs to someone else."
Tahir's grip tightened, his eyes blazing with anger. "Who is it?" he snarled. "Tell me!"
Y/N smiled sweetly. "You'll never know."
And with that, she knew she had to escape. Tonight.
As the music ended, Tahir's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched in anger. But Y/N just smiled, a plan forming in her mind.
She excused herself, citing exhaustion, and made her way to the hotel room. Tahir followed, his presence suffocating.
As soon as they were alone, Tahir's mask slipped, his true nature revealed. "You think you can defy me?" he snarled, his fists clenched.
Y/N stood tall, her heart racing. "I'll never be yours, Tahir. I'll never love you."
Tahir's eyes flashed with anger, but Y/N saw something else - a glimmer of doubt.
And in that moment, she knew she had to act.
She turned to leave, but Tahir caught her arm, his grip like a vice. "You're not going anywhere," he growled.
But Y/N was ready. With a surge of adrenaline, she wrenched her arm free and made a run for the door.
Tahir roared in anger, but Y/N didn't look back. She flung open the door and sprinted down the hallway, her heart pounding in her chest.
She had to find Vijay. She had to escape.
Y/N ran as fast as she could, her heels clicking on the marble floor. She could hear Tahir's angry shouts behind her, but she didn't look back.
She burst through the lobby doors and out into the cool night air. The city lights blurred together as she ran, her heart pounding in her chest.
Finally, she saw a taxi and flung herself inside. "Please, take me to the airport," she begged the driver.
As the taxi sped away, Y/N looked back, half-expecting to see Tahir's angry face. But he was nowhere to be seen.
She breathed a sigh of relief and pulled out her phone. Her hands trembled as she dialed Vijay's number.
