**Chapter 2**

As Lexi hurried to her meeting, Julian’s words replayed in her mind, mingling with her anticipation. She couldn’t help but feel a flutter of excitement at the thought of seeing him again. The meeting was a blur of numbers and pitches, but her mind kept drifting back to their chance encounter.

Later that evening, Lexi's phone buzzed with a message from Julian: “Hey Lexi, it’s Julian. I couldn’t stop thinking about our collision course. Would love to grab coffee again soon?”

Lexi smiled, a warm feeling spreading through her. After a moment of contemplation, she replied, “Definitely. But next time, let’s aim for a collision-free coffee.”

Julian’s response came quickly, accompanied by a laughing emoji: “Sounds like a plan! How about joining us for game night at my friend’s place?”

Excited and curious, Lexi agreed. When she arrived, she was greeted by a lively mix of laughter, music, and the tantalizing aroma of homemade food. Julian’s friends—a colorful group of creatives, artists, and musicians—welcomed her with genuine warmth. The evening was filled with animated discussions about art, social justice, and everything in between.

As the group played games, Lexi felt an unexpected sense of belonging. She was drawn into conversations that made her feel at home, and she admired the camaraderie and shared passion that defined Julian’s circle of friends.

The highlight of the night came when Julian picked up his guitar and began to play a soulful melody. The room hushed as Lexi joined in with a harmonious vocal accompaniment. Their impromptu performance captivated everyone, and Lexi felt a deep connection with Julian as they shared this creative moment.

Later, as Julian walked her home, there was a tangible hesitation in the air. They lingered outside her apartment, reluctant to part ways.

“I’d love for you to come to my photography exhibit,” Lexi said, breaking the silence. “Maybe you could help with the setup?”

Julian agreed enthusiastically. During the exhibit, Lexi’s photos received glowing reviews, and Julian’s pride in her success was evident. As they celebrated, Julian mentioned his new graffiti project and asked if Lexi would be his photographer. She eagerly agreed, and their brainstorming sessions became a creative haven for both.

While scouting locations for the project, Julian turned to Lexi and said, “I’m really glad we met. You’re an amazing person, and I feel like we click on so many levels.”

Lexi’s smile mirrored his sentiments. “I know exactly what you mean. It feels like we’ve known each other for years.”
