Fishy Fiasco

Chapter 1

Hakuba POV:

Kid has declared he'll be doing another heist at midnight tomorrow in an attempt to steal the Heart of the Ocean, one of the world's biggest diamonds. I've realised it's highly unlikely I'll be able to catch him on wits alone so my plan it to ask Aoko what Kuroba's weakness or fear is to try make it easier to catch him.

And with that Hakuba had finished his diary entry for the day and decided it was best to get some rest.

Hakuba woke up kind of exited for today's heist because if all went to plan he'd finally be able to catch KID. But, of course, he'd actually had to get up go to school first, so with that he got out of bed, got dressed and did his usual morning routine.

After finishing up breakfast (which Baaya had so kindly made for him) he set of to school. Once he arrived he sat down and waited for Aoko to come in as she was very important for his plan as without her he wouldn't know Kuraba or should he say KIDS weakness. And so he waited looking intensely at the door when all of a sudden he felt a hand on his shoulder which startled him. When he turned around to see who it was he surprised to see Kaito was the one with his hand on his shoulder. He was going to say something but Kaito spoke first. "Who are you waiting for so intensely detective?" As he heard these words he wasn't quite sure what to say, it's not like he could say Aoko as the two rarely talked and it would be odd for him to be waiting for her.

"Oh no one really I was just lost in thought, that's all." He was pleased with his answer as it seemed very believable for him to be lost in thought, and it's not like he had been lying as he was thinking on how he would ask her for the information on Kaito as she would most likely question him. "Oh and here I was thinking you had finally gotten a girlfriend, but I should've known you can't pull anyone not even a fly." Kaito was smirking as he said this, a gleem of mischief in his eyes.

Hakuba's eyebrows furrowed as he said this but instead of getting mad decided to say a comeback, something Kaito definitely wouldn't of expected out of him. "Oh really cause you mother doesn't seem to think so." He had his own little smirk as he said this. Enjoying the surprised look on Kaito's face, but of corse it didn't last long as the teacher walked in and he sat back down. When he sat down I realised he had distracted me from Aoko walking in and now I couldn't talk to her untill break, it's like he knew she had been the one I was waiting for. But whatever I can wait.

Class was over now but of course Kaito had somehow managed to make a scene during it as normal, but that didn't matter I just had to focus on finding Aoko, I kew Kaito wouldn't be with her as he had gone of with some different friends so now was an ideal time to interrogate her. I walked outside and found Aoko sitting on a bench eating lunch with her friends, when I started to approach her all her friends faces had gone red for some reason, one had even started squealing and as I reached them and said "Aoko, do you mind if I talked to you?" They all suddenly looked disappointed and left us alone. It didn't matter it was better they were gone and once they had gone out of sight she replied "Sure what is it Hakuba?"

"About Kaito, what is he afraid of?" A look of confusion crossed her face. "Why do you need to know that?" Right Kaito had distracted me so I didn't think it through which meant I have to think of something on the spot. "I want to pull a prank on and I thought you'd know how to give him a scare." I was worried this excuse wasn't good enough. But when she heard this her face lit up and she said "I'll gladly help you pull a prank on Kaito as long as you send me a pick of his face once you do it." This was good she's going to tell me but if I want a picture of his reaction I'll have to pull an actual prank on him but I'll figure that out later. "Of course, so what is he afraid of?" "Well I don't know why but Kaito is really scared of fish, so maybe buy a fish put it on some sting and drop it from a tree. It'll scare him half to death! Haha, Aoko can already imagine the look on his face, perfect revenge for the stunt he pulled in class." Fish? Why would he be scared of fish? I don't know but this information is good and now I know what he's afraid of I can easily set it up before he arrives for the hiest. "Thank you very much Aoko for telling me this." "Of course, have a good day." "You too."

And with that I can finally catch KID. I just had to buy some fish first.
