A Magical New Start

Chapter 22

              It has been a few days since our eventful night where Seth joined the family. Leah still has not been seen yet. I just hope she will come home. But for now, we just got to give her time to come home.

I did not realize I was in my thoughts when I felt a hand on my shoulder, and I jumped and turned around to see Sam standing there. He gave me a smile and said,

"I didn't know I could be the one to scare you. Are you alright?"

"I was just in my thoughts. I was thinking about Leah. I hope she is alright. I know how you said you two have a past. She just needs to find her way home." I told him.

He nodded and said,

"Yeah, I know. I wish I could help her. But I am not sure if she will let me."

"Yeah, I know. We should get out of the house to clear our heads. We have been cooped up for a while. I am sure the boys and us both could use a beach day. I think Seth is ready for a little outing. Something to help him."

"Yeah, I agree. I think that is a great idea. I will go get the boys and meet you at the beach." Sam shared.

"I think I will call Bella and see if she wants to join. I know a lot of you don't see eye to eye, but it will be a good start to get this bond back together and I have not seen my cousin for a while."

Sam nodded and I took my phone out. It started to ring, and Bella answered.

"Hermione, what's up?"

"Hey, Bells I was seeing if you wanted to come to the beach at LaPush with us for the day. We have a new member and just want to have a big outing."

"Yeah, I am right now that Edward's, but I can meet you somewhere or."

"I can come and get you. We can just apparate to the beach then."

"That sounds good. If it is safe. I mean I trust you."

I couldn't help but laugh. I could tell she was nervous but did trust me. I looked at Sam and mouth that I would be back in a few minutes. He nodded and kept packing a few things up for the beach.

I appeared in the Cullens' living room. Emmett fell off the couch and all you heard was a loud thump. Everyone came running out of different directions. Alice was giggling and said,

"I should have warned you that Hermione was stopping over."

He glared at her, and I said,

"Sorry Em. I didn't mean to scare you."

"You didn't scare me. I just slipped." He said trying to keep his dignity.

"What's up Hermione? What brings you by?" Alice asked.

"I am here to meet my cousin for a beach day. I would invite you all, but it is a bit sunny out. So maybe after the beach day I will come back and spend time with you all. It has been a while. How are the books reading going?" I asked.

"Oh, Jasper finished them so quickly. I think he might need some newer ones. If you have any?" Alice asked.

Jasper blushed a little bit and said,

"The textbook of Magic History was so fascinating and to compare it to the human world and know that you all were part of it is incredible."
