||Chapter 9||

Abhimanyu pov

I looked at Uttara who was hugging my chest. Last night she had practically rolled to my side after our talks. I stared at her. I saw the way she was reacting in her sleep. Now she was peaceful. I knew we would be woken up in sometime.

I said in a low voice : How long will you hug me dear? I have work.

Uttara moved a bit. She looked at me sleepily.

Me : Rise and shine.

Uttara then again put her head down on my chest.

Me : Tara get up. Someone is here.

Uttara then got up and looked around. Exactly that time the maids arrived. 

"Rajkumari we are here to assist you."

They took her away. I got ready and went to the court. Uttara didn't have to be presented till next month. My mother was missing and I assume she is with Uttara even Rajmatha is missing, this doesn't sound well with me.

The court ended and we went to the kitchen. Uttara had to prepare her first dish. She prepared kheer. She gave everyone. The minute Shivanya saw kheer she started laughing.

Uttara hit her on the head.

Draupadi : Whats going on?

Shivanya : Samragini, three years back before my wedding this idiot told everyone she is a wonderful cook and challenged Naira. Naira agree and they cooked kheer. This idiot took salt instead of sugar and mixed it. Poor Siddharth. He was the first one to drink it. He had to pretend it was nice while inside he was dying. Then all of us had a turn she too ate hers well ever since then she never made kheer again.

Uttara looked embarrassed and red. 

Bheem : Now you are scaring me.

Uloopi : Chup. Eat it.

All of us tasted and it was actually good.

Shivanya : Nice you have learnt. Wait till everyone hears about this.

Uttara rolled her eyes.

Pragathi : Bhabhi we have to give our gifts. Do they do that in Panchal?

Uttara : No. Usually only the husband gives. The rest all of us just praise the bride or irritate her.

Kunti : Well here we give gifts.

Pitamah Bishma and Vidur gave her a chain. Rajamatha Kunti gave her a ring. Samragini Draupadi and Samart Yudhisthir gave her a bracelet. Dwarka gave a beautiful golden flute. Iravan and Shivanya gave her a drawing pad. Niramitra and Nandhini gave her a beautiful shawl. Suhotra and Vatsala gave her a ring. Pitashree and Uloopi Ma gave her a necklace set. Subhadra Ma just whispered something to her. Karthik gave her a dagger. Suthakarma gave her a handmade bow. Abhinya, Pragathi and Pranitha gave her a binded manuscript. Something tells me I know what is inside and something tells me these three will die before getting married. Nakul and Renu Ma gave her a necklace set. Vijaya Ma and Sahadev gave her some variety of colors. Even Parikshit gave her a doll. Uttara accepted the gifts with a smile.

Krish : Now its time we leave.

Draupadi : This soon.

Balaram : The country can't run itself. 

We wished them good bye. Suthanu warned me to be polite and kind with her. The Rajmatha and the Raja was nowhere to be seen. Was there going to be another attack? 

Arjun : I understand your worry but they are here. I went and checked myself.

I nodded my head. In the side Ma had a lot of ornaments out. Both Uttara and Abhinya were looking at them.
