Chapter 8

Sanem and Ahan went back to their room after work, to relax. They laid on their beds and just looked at each other.
AHAN: "Sanem, this party tonight is semi formal, I don't have anything to wear, what about you?
SANEM: "I have nothing to wear either, and even if I did they will all probably be dressed in designer dresses, I guess we're not going"
Both girls were disappointed, "I guess I will see if Define wants me to watch Elif so they can enjoy themselves tonight.
Ahan's phone rings and it's Osman.
AHAN: "Osman, how are you I miss you."
OSMAN: "I'm good, listen I'm a half hour out of Antalya, come and stay here for a couple of days, what do you think."
AHAN: "okay, Sanem and I will pack and meet up with you."
OSMAN: "no Sanem I'm sorry, Sanem you need to stay away, I don't think I was followed, but you never know. If I was followed and they see just you Ahan they will probably think I'm telling the truth that I don't know where Sanem is."
AHAN: "okay Osman what ever you think is best."( Sanem looks sad)
SANEM: "I understand Osman, it's okay, how are my parents.?"
OSMAN: "they're still home, but there is alot of police presence in the neighborhood because of what happened to your parents, I guess some of the neighborhood people complained that they want more police presence and they got it. Ali and his father are being very careful, they pretend to be concerned about your parents, they always go to the house and ask if they heard from you, and ask if they know where you are, that's it, and then they leave."
SANEM: "do the police know who bet them up?"
OSMAN: "no Sanem, I'm sorry,  nobody saw anything, you know Ali and his Father they're good at fooling people and the ones that know the truth probably are too scared to talk. But don't worry something is bound to come out about what they did, we will figure out something."
Sanem had tears in her eyes, she misses everyone, and she's very worried about her parents.
SANEM: " ok Osman, thank you. Tell them I miss them and love them."wait Osman, I'm sure there is a lot of gossip about me in the neighborhood, especially of me breaking of the engagement to Ali. I'm sure they made sure that it was all me. Even if I could I probably couldn't come back." Osman was quiet, he knows how these neighborhoods are with girls, and right now Sanem would not be welcomed with open arms. Poor Sanem I feel so bad for her. "You being quiet tells me what I already knew, thank you for everything Osman."
OSMAN: "I'm sorry Sanem, I wish I could fix things for you. Don't worry one day when everything comes to light, people will understand, I will do my best to fix things little sister. Take care of yourself Sanem, we will talk soon."
Ahan went over and hugged Sanem.
AHAN: "I'm sorry Sanem, don't worry, I'm sure it won't be too long before they get caught, and then we can go back, once everyone knows the truth they will understand. Sanem smiled and hugged Ahan.
SANEM: "enjoy your visit with Osman, and I'll see you when you get back, I'm going to see if Define wants me to watch Elif." Sanem knew that going back might not happen, she would need a miracle. Okay Sanem get yourself together , Sanem washed her face so hopefully Define wouldn't notice that she was crying. She knocks on the door and Define opens it with a beautiful smile, she's happy to see Sanem.
DEFINE: "Sanem come in, ( Define looks at her concerned) is everything okay?"
SANEM: "yes, everything is fine, I just came to see if you want me to watch Elif tonight so you and Roberto can enjoy yourselves."Define looks at Sanem and noticed that she looks sad, and it looks like she's been crying .
DEFINE: "Sanem is everything okay, did something happen?" Sanem smiles
SANEM: "oh no everything is fine, I decided I'm not going  tonight, I really don't know anyone, and Ahan went to see her brother for a couple of days. I'd rather watch Elif." Define knows she's lying, she seemed excited this afternoon." Define looks at her and smiles she takes her hand and squeezes it.
DEFINE: "Sanem, what's really bothering you, you're young and beautiful, and there is a party tonight and you would rather babysit?"
SANEM: "yes, it's fine really, do you have someone else watching her for tonight?"
DEFINE: "no we are taking her with us, if she wants to sleep she can sleep in her stroller. So go get ready we can walk down together."
SANEM: "You go enjoy yourselves, I will see you in the morning." She starts walking out. Define is so upset, what happened? A dress, that's it, she has nothing to wear, poor Sanem, she probably can't afford how these people will be dressed tonight.
DEFINE: "Sanem wait, you don't have a dress do you?"
Sanem turned around and had tears in her eyes. She really wanted to go tonight and see Can, even if he's not interested she just wants to see him.
SANEM: "no I have, I'm just really tired, I also have some homework I've been neglecting the last couple of days, Have fun tonight see you in the morning."and she runs out and goes to her room.
Roberto comes out of the bedroom and notices Define is upset.
ROBERTO: "Define was that Sanem, is she okay."
DEFINE: "she wanted to babysit tonight, she said she didn't feel up to going tonight, and that she has homework, but I think it's because she doesn't have a dress to wear, you know how it's going to be tonight, all designer dresses, and snob city, I even hate these gatherings"
ROBERTO: " yes, I know, and I'm sure Maria and the other models will look down on her if she's not dressed to the tee in a designer dress. Don't you have anything that will fit her?"
DEFINE: "I wish I did, she's more petite than me, Roberto, I feel so bad for her." There was a knock on the door Roberto opens it and it's Can.
ROBERTO: "Can come in, have a seat". Can noticed define was upset, I wonder if it had anything to do with Sanem.
CAN: "Define, is everything okay, I saw Sanem run out of here and it looks like she was crying"
DEFINE: "she came to ask if she wanted us to have her babysit Elif." Can got upset he wanted to see her tonight
CAN: "what, why? I thought she was coming tonight she seemed excited."
DEFINE: "she did, but I think she doesn't have anything to wear, you know how all those women and models will be dressed tonight all in designer clothes and I don't think Sanem can afford a dress like that so I guess she decided just to stay home." Can feels bad for her.
CAN: "Define, I'll take care of a dress, she will be the prettiest girl there tonight, can you help with hair and makeup?" "DEFINE: "yes, I can!"   "Define  please don't tell her who sent the dress okay, I'm going down to the boutique and get her one." Define and Roberto were smiling at Can, he's definitely in love. Hopefully it will sink in tonight when he sees her. Can looked at both of them and wondered why they were smiling.
CAN: "why are you smiling, I feel bad for her that's all."
ROBERTO: "okay, get going we don't have much time."
Sanem ran back to her room and fell on the bed crying . She was so upset, she was hoping to be with Can tonight, but that won't happen anyway, even to just see him would be nice, now Maria will be All over him tonight, they will probably spend the night together again. Uhg Sanem, forget him."
Sanem got up to take a shower hoping it will calm her.
About 20 minutes later she comes out of the shower and sees a box on her bed. "What is that, who put it there?"
She opens the box and sees the most beautiful dress inside. She couldn't stop smiling, she finds a card inside that read "SEE YOU TONIGHT PRINCESS, YOU'RE GOING TO LOOK BEAUTIFUL! She starts spinning and dancing around. She looks at the card again to see who sent the dress, but there was no name on the card.
She hears a knock at the door, she opens the door and sees Define standing there with hair and makeup girls.
Tears welling up in her eyes.
DEFINE: "Sanem, you're going tonight and you're going to be beautiful."
SANEM: "Define, did you buy the dress , please I can't accept it, it's too expensive."
DEFINE: "actually it wasn't me, someone just informed me what I should do to get you ready, that's all I know."
SANEM: "Define, I have to find out and pay them back, it's not right."
DEFINE: "Sanem, just sit, and let's get you ready, you are going to be stunning tonight, show me your dress."Sanem lifts the dress so Define can see it.
"Wow, beautiful, very sexy"
SANEM: "I never wore anything like this before, it's stunning? I hope it fits"
DEFINE: "I'm sure it will, come sit down."
Can was back in his room, "I hope she likes the dress, she's going to look beautiful. I can't wait to see her."
There was a knock on Can's door, it was Roberto.
ROBERTO: "Can, you look like a groom ready to go to the altar are you okay?"
Can looks at him and smiles and says
CAN: "I'm good, I just hope Sanem likes the dress."
ROBERTO: "she loves it, Define texted me, Sanem was crying, she was so happy, but she wants to pay back the person who got it for her, she feels bad because she knows it's very expensive." Can smiles, my humble Sanem.
CAN: "I'm not surprised, she's very sweet and humble"
Roberto is watching Can, boy this boy is in love.
ROBERTO: "that she is, you really seem to like her, I've never seen you like this with anyone before."
Can looks at Roberto and smiles
CAN: "that's because I never met anyone like her before, Roberto, there is just something about her that pulls me towards her, I want to be with her all the time, she's definitely different, she has a good pure heart, kind, smart, and what spitfire, the other day I had to grab her by the waist to hold her back she was ready to pounce on Maria." They both started laughing
ROBERTO: "she sounds like someone else I know, my Define. But I'm sure Maria deserved it"
CAN: "oh she did, but I think Sanem might think that Maria and I slept together last night, she saw her coming back to my room."
ROBERTO: "oh, that's not good! Did you sleep with Maria?" Can looked at Roberto and smiled
CAN: "believe it or not, no, I didn't, I wasn't even interested in her, the only one I wanted was Sanem, somehow she's hooked me And I don't even know how." They both started laughing.
ROBERTO: "now that's a miracle all in itself, Can Divit didn't have sex with a hot woman, you definitely surprised me, are you sure you're okay? (They both start laughing again) Can I'm happy you're interested in Sanem she definitely is special. Elif loves her, you saw the progress Elif made in just one day, yes my friend definitely different and special, she's a lot like my Define." Can smiled he knows how much Roberto loves Define, they had there difficulties but true love won.
ROBERTO: "let's get going, our princesses should be ready soon, let's go down and wait for them.
Define was ready and waiting for Sanem to come out of the bedroom. The door opens and Sanem walks out nervously, Define just looked at her she looked beautiful, like a model.
DEFINE: "Sanem, you look absolutely stunning, Can isn't going to know what hit him, you look very sexy."
Sanem smiled shyly.
SANEM: " Do you really think so, I never wore anything like this before , this is definitely out of my comfort zone,"
DEFINE: "Sanem, I'm telling you, Can won't be able to take his eyes off you."
SANEM: "if Maria lets him, she's always all over him, she really gets on my last nerve! Define do you think Can would be interested in someone like me, I mean look at Polen and Maria, there beautiful, and he might still be with Polen, I don't want to come between couples, they might be in love." Define just started laughing.
DEFINE; "Sanem, there is no way that he loves Polen, I know that for a fact, trust me.  Polen and Maria might be pretty but you're much more beautiful inside and out, way more beautiful!! And Polen is nasty, she doesn't know what love is, she just wants Can for his name and money, you should see Elif when she sees her, she gives her the dirtiest looks, even Elif knows what she's like. So trust me there's no competition, you're perfect and Can sees it, sometimes it takes a little while for a man's brains to catch up with their heart. He will figure it out don't worry." Sanem hugged Define
SANEM: "thank you Define for everything, if there is anything I can do for you just let me know."
DEFINE: "Sanem you already have with Elif, I don't know how to thank you, plus you're a good friend a trustworthy friend. You're a lot like me, one day I will tell you my story, our backgrounds are very similar. Roberto and I had our difficulties, but we got through everything with our love. Love always wins. Well my dear friend are you ready to make your entrance."
SANEM: "only if we make our entrance together, I don't want to be the center of attention." They hugged each other and headed for the party.
DEFINE: "Sanem open your heart it's okay to love, I did, and I'm the happiest I ever been."
Sanem smiled and hugged Define.
SANEM: "I will do my best, but Can has quite the reputation, I went on line and looked him up he's quite the playboy, there's a-lot of pictures of him with beautiful women."
DEFINE: "there are a lot of pictures but not all are girlfriends the media exaggerates.  but remember love always wins. No one said love was easy, but don't worry in the end it will work itself out.  okay let's go see our men!"
