Chapter One The School

POV Percy

I had heard about the school in California that specialize in marine biology before it got demolished. The one that had state of the art facilities, that were for one actually cruelty free for the sea animals that lived inside of them. I had almost gone when I heard the news about it getting destroyed hoping to save the sea animals that used to call it a home, but by the time I had learned about it there was no hope for them.

Now that I needed a school to go to for this coming fall, one that specialize in marine biology was looking really spelling. It was the perfect thing for my resume for New Roam University.

I had been looking into Harding-Pencroft Academy for a while now and they were taking applications...

I thought long and hard before making my decision. Then once I did make that decision I regretted it very much.

I banged on the door to the Hades Cabin.

"Hey Nico, you in there?!" I yelled.

"Ah," I heard a groan come from inside and soon Nico's head popped out from behind the door. He looked like he had just woken up and given the hour(it was nine thirty in the morning) he probably had.

"What. Do. You. Want?" Yes, Nico's mood had improved a LOT since he had started dating Will but that didn't mean that he was in a good mood whenever I would wake him up before 11.

"I-uh was wondering if you could shadow travel me to this school in California?" I asked tentatively.

"Why do you need me to take you?" he asked, sounding rightfully suspicious of my motives. "Can't you fly on Black Jack, or shadow travel with Mrs. O'leary, or take the gray sisters?"

"Well, I probably would be able to do that if I weren't going to this high school that I sighed you, your boyfriend, my girlfriend, and myself up for."

"You WHAT??!!!!" Anabeth had the same exact reaction as Nico, who would have thought they would be so similar.

I smiled back at her expression.

"I-uh, know I should be sorry but I'm not." I was telling this to Will, Annabeth, and Nico, two of which looked like they were considering the easiest way to chop off all of my limbs. The other looked like he was trying to figure out how he would reach my limbs once they got ripped off.

"So, are you guys up for it?" I asked.

"Like we have a chous," Nico muted. Anabeth nodded in agreement. Will just looked like he was still in shock.

"Ok, I know your mad at me but-"

"Mad at you! MAD AT YOU! Percy you signed us up for a school that the majority of us don't want to attend. Were we even accepted?"

"Yes we all were." Despite the good news I was met with disappointed looks. Oh, maybe that wasn't the best news for them.

"When do we need to leave?" Will asked.

"We need to get there by tomorrow at 12," I told them.

And then it was down. I had explained to them what needed to get done and despite the fact that I would have to fear for my life for the next few weeks I was glad. I knew I should probably be ashamed of myself but in my defense I did this all because.

The night before I started the applications I had a dream. It was of my father telling me to go through with the plane I had thought of that day. To submit applications for Nico, Will, Anabeth, and myself. He said that it was very necessary for me to do this and that I would see why later.

I wondered now when that later would come.
