Chapter Six Learning

POV Percy

"What happened back there!!" Gemini yelled as soon as we were out of earshot of the medical wing.

After the attack Ana had been rushed to the medical wing with a shocked Ester and Nelinha. The two of them had seen the monster and they had not fully been able to comprehend it yet. Will was running so test on them for gods' know what reasons but by the time we had left it was clear of one thing, Ester was a clearsited mortal, and Nelinha was a daughter of Hephaestus.

"Uh, well." Nico looked at me. It had been a very long time since any of us had explained our world to a normal human.

"I know this is going to be hard to believe, but the Greek myths are real and so are the monsters, gods, and heroes that were in them. Your girlfriend is descended from one of them, her friend Nelinha is a daughter of Hephaestus and Ester can see through this thing that we call the mist that hides our world from mortels. I'm a daughter of Athena, my boyfriend is a son of Poseidon, Nico is a son of Hades and his boyfriend is a son of Apollo. Any questions?" Annabeth asked to finish up her speech. I didn't know if it was a good idea to tell Gem about all of this but Annabeth already did it so there was nothing I could do now.

"His Boyfriend?" Gem asked.

"Will and after all of that the thing you ask about is me having a boyfriend?!" Nico snapped.

"You have a boyfriend?" Will's voice from behind me sounded offended.

"My boyfriend is you. You idiot!" Nico said, his exasperation being marred by the affection in his tone.

"Oh... and by the way I already explained everything to the others, including Franklin."

"Thank you. I really didn't want to go through that speech again. Oh and how did they take it because Gem didn't seem too shocked," Annabeth said.

"You do realize we are right here right?" Gem asked.

"Yes," I said simply.

"I actually have a few answers to your questions," Ana's voice was small and shaky but I still heard her.

POV Ana

I took a shaky breath. "Have any of you read 2000 Leagues Under The Sea or The Mysterious Island?" They all had puzzled looks on their faces but Annabeth was still quick to respond.

"I watched the movie 2000 Leagues Under The Sea under the sea if that counts." I nodded.

"That wasn't pure science fiction. There were a lot of facts in those books and that movie." Their confused looks didn't vanish, they got much worse.

"To put it simply, those books were real and Captain Nemo is my fourth great-grandfather."

POV Percy.

I stared at her, not believing my ears. That guy who my father had told me was my brother right before I left(right before meaning in the past five years) as her fourth great-grandfather.

"I'm your fourth great-granduncle then," I said, somehow keeping a straight face.
