Hyunjin tilts his head in confusion.
"Tonight? Wha-"

"Excuse me~" Bless the child.

Felix ignores his oblivious colleague and crouches down to the approaching kid's level, whose gaze is glued on the cotton candy he's holding.

"What's the matter, little one?"

The kid looks up at him with pleading eyes.

"C-can I.. buy your floss with some money? My eomma will pay you! ," he replies gesturing at a woman behind, who's busy on a call.

"There's the entire stall over there..," he points out gently.

"No! they don't have any raspberry flavoured left.. I want only that! Can you sell me? Pretty please..."

His heart melts since he has always had a soft spot for children. Smiling, he nods while extending his hand towards the kid.

"Here you go, bud. And you don't need to pay me... It's my treat."

"Really? Thanks!"

"Enjoy, cutie!"

The boy runs back with the cotton candy in his hand, shouting excitedly, "Eomma!"

Felix smiles at the child fondly but his heart gets warmer when he turns back, only to be faced by the immense adoration etched in Hyunjin's eyes as he smiles his way.

"Aww... You won't change. You'll always be my little su- Lixie." Hyunjin exclaims, taking him along to an unoccupied bench.

"Your sunshine?" Felix sneers, keeping his expression amused because the title is really triggering, and he doesn't want to ruin the splendid day by evoking their past.

"Y-yes.." Hyunjin avoids eye contact as they sit.

"Say it."

"Huh?," the taller looks scared, but there's a spark of reassurance visible which is a relief to the Aussie.

"Call me your sunshine," he repeats in tad commanding tone.

Hyunjin partly nods and locks their gazes. He takes a deep breath, his lips quivering as he softly voices out:

"My sunshine."

Hearing those words from him feels like heaven, something he's been yearning to hear for years.

"Did good, my dumpling."

Felix promptly responds, taking his colleague in a comforting hug which they both need at the earliest.

From other people's perspective, they might seem like the perfect lovebirds who are made for each other. Just they haven't reached to that stage yet in reality.

"Your cotton candy, Jinnie! Eat it before someone snatches it away and runs like that girl did last summer." The Aussie shifts the subject, preferring to save the current conversation for later when it would be more appropriate to continue.

Humming, Hyunjin grabs a bite and holds the cotton candy in front of the shorter's mouth, encouraging him to do the same. He dislikes eating alone when with a company.

Felix smiles, wrapping his small palm around the taller's on the stick as he takes a portion of the treat; loving the sweetness of the strawberry flavour which is slightly akin to the taste of Hyunjin's lips.

A sudden craving stirs within the Aussie to try the cotton candy along with his colleague's cushy lips simultaneously. He's simply curious about how the two confections would taste when combined.

Several bites later, when Felix deems that the leftover fluff can be consumed in one go, he stops Hyunjin from feeding him, whose brows furrow.

The shorter just takes the cotton candy from the taller's hand and, turning lightly sideways, he positions it between their faces.

"Take a bite from your side and I'll take one from here, got it?... Like the pocky challenge," he explains.

Hyunjin blushes but shyly nods, looking elsewhere.

Felix holds up his chin, his voice drizzled with possessiveness while instructing: "Just look at me, baby."

"O-kay."

Meeting his gaze, the taller scoots closer for ease, obviously enjoying the plentiful attention he's receiving from the shorter since the morning.

"Good boy."

Felix leans forward, signalling the other to follow as he decides to disregard his colleague's wide-eyed reaction.

He takes the lead, gently nibbling on the fluffy sugar until he feels Hyunjin copying. Taking a mouthful then, the Aussie removes the stick from between and connects their lips.

Pulling the latter nearer, Felix licks down his lips till they part open and instantly pushes his tongue inside the permitted area.

The terrible sugar rush due to the double dose of sweetness makes him feel almost vertiginous.

There's a little cotton candy's mush remaining in the taller's mouth that his tongue swiftly swipes away, leaving it to melt in the warmth of their linked cavities.

When it does, the saccharine essence of strawberry passed over from the sweet heavenly mouth alters Felix' momentarily desire into a lifelong addiction; the combo he'll undoubtedly try often.

If it isn't for the sake of breathing in oxygen to survive, then the Aussie won't have separated from Hyunjin's mouth any time sooner.

One glance at Hyunjin, deliciously ruined and blown out, Felix finds himself leaning in for another kiss while drawing the other extremely closer.

"Control.. ," says the taller, timidly placing a palm on his mouth before they can attach.

All Felix hears in their sweet bubble is their heavy pants as they're close enough to feel each other's exhales. With an eye contact, Hyunjin hugs him firmly, hiding in his neck much like before. The mere difference is that they were previously standing and are now sitting on a bench.

"Relax." He caresses the shorter's back up and down, in a soothing manner.

Felix can feel both of their hearts pounding erratically with their upper bodies being pressed together, though the latter's organ is beating more calmly which further helps him cool his inner heat.

"Lixie... tell me what's bothering you," Hyunjin asks in a serious tone, his voice muffled since his face is deposited in the Aussie's neck.

"'S nothing..," he promptly denies, reluctant to reveal his fears just yet.

"It's clearly something. You're scared.."

Why does Hyunjin have such detailed knowledge about him? It sometimes gets hard to keep secrets.

Felix doesn't answer verbally but tightens the hug, hoping that the other will understand his choice to remain silent for the moment.

"Fine.. Take your time, I'm here for you—" That's what he needs the most, comfort and reassurance.

"—my sunshine."
