Jenna invited her parents over for dinner at our place. She told me shes been craving pupusas and wanted the ones her mom made from her childhood. So Jenna and Natalie are in the kitchen while me and Edward are on the couch.
We've both never been much of talkers but are so comfortable and get along so well we've been rambling this entire time. It's only just now i got a message and pulled up my phone, and he soon followed leaving us both trapped into the scrolling.

I know Jenna generally keeps her notifications off, especially around friends or family but she keeps it on buzz for the special people, me being one of those people her phone will buzz and i assume she'll pick it up.
I go to her name on imessage and quickly type.

Her phone buzzes again and yet again she is unfazed. Someone could be dying rn and all this girl can think about is her damn pupusas.
