The sun rose on Dimple's birthday, casting a warm glow over the world. Nish felt a flutter of excitement in his chest as he prepared for the day ahead. He wanted to make this birthday unforgettable for Dimple, not just to celebrate her but to honor the beautiful journey they had taken together over the past two years.
Nish arrived at the spot where he usually picked Dimple up, a quiet little corner tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. He brought along a beautifully decorated cake, placing it carefully in the backseat of his car. He wanted to recreate the joy of cutting a cake together from two years ago, but this time, he had an even bigger surprise planned.
When Dimple arrived, she looked radiant despite the overcast sky. "Nish! You made it!" she exclaimed, her excitement palpable.
"Of course! Happy birthday!" he said, wrapping her in a warm hug. "Are you ready for a little adventure?"
"Absolutely!" she replied, her eyes sparkling with joy. They climbed into the car, and Nish started driving toward the sunset point where they had shared many special memories.
As they drove, Dimple chatted animatedly about her day so far, and Nish couldn't help but smile, feeling grateful to have her in his life. The anticipation of what was to come made his heart race.
When they arrived at the sunset point, the view was stunning, but the weather had turned. A light rain began to fall, creating a magical atmosphere as the droplets danced on the windshield. Nish parked the car and turned to Dimple, a smile spreading across his face.
"Remember this place?" he asked, nodding toward the horizon where the sun was beginning to set behind the clouds.
"Of course! This is where we cut the cake two years back!" Dimple said, her eyes shining with nostalgia.
"Exactly," he replied. "And I wanted to recreate that moment." He reached into the backseat and pulled out the cake. "I brought you a birthday cake!"
Dimple's eyes widened with delight. "Nish, this is amazing!" she exclaimed, taking the cake from him. They set it on the hood of the car, laughter bubbling between them as they shared slices of cake, even as the rain began to fall more steadily.
As they enjoyed the cake, Nish noticed the full moon slowly rising in the sky, its bright light peeking through the clouds. It was a reminder of the countless nights they had spent talking under the stars, and he felt a rush of emotion.
After they finished, Nish knew it was time for the real surprise. He took a deep breath, feeling the weight of the moment. "Dimple," he began, his voice steady despite the nervousness bubbling inside him. "There's something important I want to talk to you about."
She looked at him, curiosity and anticipation sparkling in her eyes. "What is it?"
Nish reached into his pocket and pulled out a small velvet box. Dropping to one knee on the wet grass beside the car, he opened it to reveal a stunning ring that sparkled in the moonlight. "Dimple, will you marry me?"
Tears welled in her eyes as she gasped, covering her mouth in disbelief. "Oh my God, Nish!"
"I know this is a big step," he continued, his heart racing. "But I can't imagine my life without you. You are my partner, my best friend, and the love of my life. I want to spend every moment with you, building a future together."
"Yes! Yes, of course!" Dimple exclaimed, her voice filled with joy. She knelt beside him, wrapping her arms around him tightly. "I can't believe this is happening!"
As they embraced, Nish slipped the ring onto her finger, a perfect fit. The world around them faded as they reveled in the moment, overwhelmed with love and happiness. They pulled back to look at each other, and in that instant, everything felt right.
"I love you, Nish," Dimple said, her voice thick with emotion. "This is the best birthday gift I could ever ask for."
"I love you too," he replied, his heart swelling with joy. "Happy birthday, my love."
They stood together, hand in hand, watching as the rain created a shimmering effect in the moonlight, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their lives. Nish knew that their journey was just beginning, but he felt ready to face whatever came next, as long as Dimple was by his side.
As the last rays of sunlight dipped below the horizon and the full moon illuminated the night, they sealed their promise with a soft kiss, their hearts beating in sync, echoing the love that had blossomed and flourished over the past two years.
