2x15- The Dinner Party

I've been invited to a dinner party at the Salvatore's. And this isn't because I'm genuinely interested in what they're discussing, but because Elijah messaged me and asked if I would like to accompany him.

I know that Damon and Alaric will be there, but Stefan and Elena went away to the Gilbert family lake house for the weekend.

There's a knock at my apartment, and I assume that it must be Elijah. I see him and he is wearing one of his fancy suits again. He offers me his arm and I link mine with his.

"Just like old times," I grin as I shut the door.

"You look stunning, Farrah."

I look down at the simplistic but elegant dress that I'm wearing. I haven't had a reason to dress up in a while.  This reminds me of the dinner party I went to with Klaus, and that fact terrifies me because of what happened there.

Damon is here, and I have a feeling that he must of created this party for a reason other than the fact that his reporter girlfriend Andie wanted him to. I know that she probably is a distraction for Damon because he so clearly likes Elena.

Elijah and I are sitting on velvet chairs beside each other. He has a cup of tea in front of him as I sit with no drink. t

"Tell me, Fay, what have you done in all of the years you've been gone?"

"I've mostly been running from Nik- Klaus I mean. I spent some time with my sister and traveled the world."

Elijah smiles gently. "I would have preferred if you stayed with us. In a way, you restrained Niklaus from being as cruel as he can be. He is a mess without you."

"Then maybe Niklaus needs to control his anger," I snap.

"He's going to find you eventually, Farrah. What will you do when he does?"

I try to compose myself. Elijah is good at reading people, especially those who he's known for long periods of time. "I don't want to think about it."

I'm sitting at the dinner table, feeling out of place as I take my seat beside Elijah. Everyone else here appears as an adult, but many of them know that I am much older than I look.

Seated at the table is Damon, Elijah, Andie, Elena's aunt Jenna, John Gilbert, and Alaric.

"I hate to break it to you, Damon, but according to Elijah, your family is so not a founder of this town," Jenna says with a smile
