Taehyung trudged behind Jennie, his eyes fixed on her back as she expertly navigated the crowded mall. He couldn't believe she'd ditch their date and drag to him shopping. Again.
"Jennie, what about our date?" he pleaded, trying to hide his sulky tone.
Jennie turned around, a mischievous glint in her eye. "Oh, come on Tae! Here I need your opinion on this outfit. And besides, you're a fashion icon. You need to stay on top of the trends."
Jennie pulled out a dress from the rack and held it up against herself, striking a pose in front of the mirror. "What do you think, Tae? Should I get this one?"
But Taehyung didn't even glance up from his phone. He was deliberately ignoring her, and Jennie knew it.
She sighed, feeling a bit frustrated. She had been looking forward to spending time with Taehyung all day, but he had been distant and cold since they arrived at the mall. She knew why - she had turned down his suggestion to go on a date the night before, saying she wanted to go shopping instead.
Jennie put down the dress and walked over to Taehyung, who was still engrossed in his phone. "You're still mad at me, aren't you?" she asked, her voice low.
Taehyung didn't respond, but Jennie could see the faintest hint of a pout on his lips.
Jennie smiled wryly. "I knew it. You're pouting because I didn't want to go on a date with you last night."
Taehyung finally looked up, his eyes narrowing slightly. "I'm not pouting," he said, his voice a bit too casual.
Jennie raised an eyebrow. "Really? Then why are you ignoring me?"
Taehyung shrugged, his eyes darting back to his phone. "I'm just busy, that's all."
Jennie huffed, trying to get Taehyung's attention again. But he was still engrossed in his phone, deliberately ignoring her.
So, she decided to take a different approach. She asked the store's stylist for his opinion on the dress. The stylist's eyes widened in excitement as he took in the sight of Jennie in the stunning black gown.
"Mam, you look stunning! The way that dress accentuates your curves is perfect. Your fashion sense is always on point!"
Jennie blushed, trying to appear flustered. "Oh, stop it! You're making me blush!"
Taehyung, who was sitting on a nearby couch, scrolling through his phone, looked up, his eyes narrowing slightly.
The stylist continued, "No, seriously, mam. You have an incredible eye for style. That dress is made for you!"
Jennie giggled, trying to appear embarrassed. "Okay, okay. I think I'll take this one."
As she tried on another dress, the stylist praised her again. "Mam, you're a true fashion icon! This dress looks amazing on you. You should wear it to your next performance!"
Jennie playfully rolled her eyes, trying to appear flustered. "You're too kind! I'll take this one too!"
Jennie's eyes scanned the racks of clothes, her fingers trailing over the fabrics. Suddenly, she let out a squeal of delight. "Oh my gosh, look at this!"
Taehyung looked up from his phone to see Jennie holding up two matching Winnie the Pooh tops. "What's so exciting about those?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
Jennie's face lit up with a smile. "They're so cute! I love Winnie the Pooh. And they match!"
The stylist, who had been hovering nearby, chimed in. "Ah, mam, those are one of our most popular items. You and your...boyfriend would look adorable in them. Why don't you both try them on?"
