"N?!" Uzi shouted, looking for any sign of yellow lights and the pilot emblem that adorned his signature hat through the cloud of snow that had been stirred up by the Solver's destruction.

As the snow settled, Uzi's eyes hollowed when she spotted the prone form of the Disassembly Drone in the distance, but something was wrong. All of his body lights were off, including his visor.

Uzi bit her lip. He's probably just knocked out.

Slowly, she approached him, thumb flicking the lock on her new railgun on and off anxiously until she reached him, stopping at his side. Her eyes started to trail down his body, but then she forced them back up to his face at the sight of the empty cavity where his core should be.

"N...?" Uzi breathed, voice shaky.

The Disassembly Drone just laid there, silent. Still. So unlike him. Why hasn't his Solver kicked in yet to heal him? He regrew his head, so surely his core could grow back too-

There was the crunch of snow as someone walked up behind her. "Uzi," V began, voice uncharacteristically soft and fragile, "he's-"

"Shut up," Uzi hissed, teeth clenched as her grip on the railgun tightened.

V frowned in irritation at being talked to that way at first, but then her expression softened with sympathy as she noticed Uzi's form was trembling. She knew all too well how the small Worker Drone was feeling. She had gone through a similar situation with N back at the mansion. Except she had been the one to kill him, and this time... There was no Cyn or the Solver to bring him back.

"He- He'll be fine. He always is." Falling to her knees, Uzi placed the railgun aside before shaking N's shoulder. "N? Come on, dude. Time to get up."

V's lips pressed together in a firm line and she looked away, hugging herself.

Uzi could feel the sting of tears at the corner of her eyes. Holding them back, she leaned over to cup the sides of his face and make him look at her. She smiled shakily. "Y-You did it. You saved the universe. Now let's go home...together?"

A breeze blew by, stirring his platinum locks, but his visor remained blank.

Hands falling to the collar of his coat and clutching the thick and still warm material, she pulled him close, holding his head to her chest and accidentally knocking his hat off, but she didn't even notice. Burying her face in his soft hair, she sobbed, allowing her tears to finally fall. "Please..."
