Rumor Has It

Ever since that... "Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex" burnt down, rumors have been going around town. Rumors about strange happenings in the area. And all of it intrigued Brianna to no end.

A massive spider creature with a human-like face that emanates music, surrounded by its brood, living in the local forest? Sounded like a load of bullshit, but it was still really interesting. Even with her arachnophobia.

Every time she heard something about it, it made her want to explore the forest and find out if the rumors were true. The thought of her sneaking out in the middle of the night, armed with her backpack and a flashlight, going into the woods to adventure and find the rumored creature would fill her mind every time. To the point that even someone just mentioning the woods would make her think of it. 

And by this time, she'd had enough.

Tonight, she'd finally do it.

She'd finally go and investigate the forest.

That night, she packed her backpack with everything she'd need. Food, water, an extra set of clothes, along with a flashlight, her phone, and headphones in her bag's side pockets. She puts on some long pants, her gray hoodie, and some hiking boots as she puts her bag on her back, now ready to go out. She waits until she knows everyone in the house is fully asleep before sneaking out, with each step she takes being as quiet as possible. She makes it to her front door, slipping outside silently and closing it just as quietly. She takes in a breath of the cool nighttime air, enjoying the peace and tranquility the moon provides. She walks up to the edge of the forest, taking a long, deep breath before taking her first step in.

The crickets chirp, and her feet crunch on the leaves of autumn's passed. Her breaths are calm and full as she walks through the trees. She takes her flashlight from her backpack's pocket, turns it on, and shines it in front of her, lighting the way ahead. The world around her is tranquil and beautiful. It was like looking into a photo. The tall trees whose leaves were changing colors gently swayed with the light breeze, revealing the crescent moon, shining brightly between the branches. Everything is serene.

As she gets deeper into the forest, she's about to connect her headphones to her phone and listen to some tunes before she hears something. Faintly in the distance is... music. She perks up when she hears it, now knowing part of the rumors are true. There is something playing music in the forest. She continues to walk, now towards the direction of the sound, the faint melody slowly getting louder and louder with each step she takes. Every step brings her closer and closer to the answers she was searching for. 

She would finally know if all the rumors were true.
