The room was filled with a comfortable warmth, as. Jungkook lay nestled against Taehyung's chest. They two were tangled together in the aftermath of their love-making. Their bodies close, their breaths soft and even.

Jungkook's fingers lazily tracing patterns on Taehyung's bare skin, feeling the steady rise and fall of his breathing. He could feel Taehyung's heartbeat beneath his fingertips, each thump filling him with a sense of contentment and love.

Taehyung smiled softly, his arms wrapped protectively around Jungkook, holding him close. He pressed a gentle kiss to the top of Jungkook's head, his lips lingering as if he couldn't get enough of the warmth between them.

It was Jungkook's birthday yesterday. He spent the entire day with his family and friends, celebrating with warmth and joy. As the night fell, he spent the rest of the evening with Taehyung. They had a wonderful time together, making the day even more special.

"I love being like this with you," Taehyung whispered, his voice low, deep, and full of affection. The sound of it vibrated through Jungkook's chest, sending a warm shiver down his spine.

Jungkook lifted his head slightly, looking up at Taehyung with those big, soft eyes that always melted Taehyung's heart. "I love it too," he murmured, his voice full of quiet emotion. "I wish we could stay like this forever."

Taehyung chuckled softly, his deep voice rumbling in his chest. "Me too, baby. Me too. Forever sounds perfect." He cupped Jungkook's cheek with his large hand, his thumb gently caressing his soft skin. Leaning down, he placed a tender kiss on Jungkook's lips, slow and lingering.

Jungkook smiled against his lips, his heart fluttering in his chest. "You make everything feel better, Taehyung," he whispered, his fingers brushing over Taehyung's collarbone. "When I'm with you like this, it's like all the worries disappear."

Taehyung's eyes softened, his hand gently threading through Jungkook's messy hair. "You're my peace too, Koo. You're the only thing that makes sense in this crazy life of mine."

Jungkook blushed, feeling his heart swell at Taehyung's words. He snuggled closer, resting his head against Taehyung's chest again. "I don't care about the craziness. I just care about you."

For a few minutes, they just held each other in the warmth of the bed, lost in the comfort and love that surrounded them. The world outside seemed far away, and for now, nothing else mattered but the two of them.

But the peaceful moment didn't last.

Suddenly, the shrill sound of a phone ringing cut through the quiet room, shattering the tranquility. Taehyung's body tensed, his arms tightening around Jungkook for a brief second before he sighed deeply.

Jungkook felt his heart drop as Taehyung reached over to the nightstand, grabbing his phone. He didn't need to look to know who was calling.

Taehyung glanced at the screen, his expression darkening with frustration. "It's from the headquarters," he muttered, the disappointment in his voice evident. "I have to go."

Jungkook's chest tightened. He had known this moment would come, but it didn't make it any easier. "Can't you stay a little longer?" he asked quietly, his voice small but firm. He tightened his hold on Taehyung, as if by holding on, he could keep him there for just a little longer. "I... I wanted to talk to you about something."

Taehyung paused, his eyes softening as he looked down at Jungkook. "I really wish I could, Koo," he said softly, regret lacing his voice. He gently untangled himself from Jungkook's embrace, sitting up on the edge of the bed. "But you know how it is."

Jungkook watched in silence as Taehyung began to get dressed, his heart heavy with unspoken words. Finally, he sat up too, pulling the blanket tighter around himself, feeling the cold seep in where Taehyung's warmth had been moments ago.
