3rd POV
C/N went to her school library during her empty periods, to catch up on some reading she indefinitely procrastinated on, and the reason for actually going?
No idea, she might have hit her head somewhere and finally decided to start reading that one book on her to-read list.Opening the mystery novel, C/N said "I'm going to be up all night.", implying that she'll stay up because of the horror, while chuckling to herself when she flipped onto the prologue.
A book slams in front of her, and C/N looked up from the book with an irritated look. First of all, she's offended because you shouldn't slam a book or drop one, and reading a book is like a sign for quietness!
"Could you..." She began to say with an annoyed look, before realizing who it was; Kip. "Oh, hey." C/N said, going back to her book."C/N! Don't just go back to ignoring me!" Kip whisper-shouted, "You've been doing that all day!"
"Have I? Didn't notice, sorry." C/N muttered, hiding her smile from behind her book.
"Meanie!" Kip frowned and sat down in front of C/N. She laid her head on the table, "I'm going to grab some more books, I'm gonna be here until the bell."
"Woah, four free periods. Lucky." C/N said quietly to herself, "Psychology majors have it good."
Kip planned on being a therapist when she graduated, and already found a local clinic that are looking for interns.Kip searches for a few other books on grammar and sentence structure, and then came back holding two whole books. She began to say something, but decided not to. Sitting back down, the other girl opened her book and began to read as well.
Sensing something was about to happen, C/N saw Asher approach, which was strange; he didn't have free period right know. She knew this because she saw his schedule when him and Kip compared them.
"Ash, 'sup." C/N said, placing her book facedown. Kip scoffed and muttered something along the lines of 'meanie', again.
"Hi C/N." Asher said nervously, holding his schedule, "you guys don't happen to know where room 24 is, right?"
Kip turns around, "Nope, sorry." C/N shakes her head, shrugging.
"Maybe you should ask one of the teachers, or the librarian." She offers, beginning to pick up her book once again.
"Thanks." The boy said quietly, "I'll keep that in might in case I can't. This place is so big."
"Even though you've been here since the first year?" Kip asks, annoyed.
"Y-yeah! I got lost here last week too."
"...How the fu–" Kip was interrupted by Katie, who was with Asher but waiting at the door."Asher, this girl says Room 24 is past the gym!" She calls into the library, being careful not to be too loud.
C/N looks up, wow someone who actually knows how to navigate this maze? Kip frowns, waving at Katie with a smile before turning to the girl who stood beside Katie.
"Michelle, how nice." Kip said, loud enough for said girl to hear, but quiet enough not to disturb others.
"Michelle? You mean from my Grade 7 class?" C/N asks curious, peering at the girl beside Katie. She did look a bit like the one she remembers.
Michelle and Kip were always fighting for academic validation, back in middle school and high school–apparently."Funny you remember my name, Kira." Michelle grins, and Katie waves at Asher to tell him it's time to go.
"Gotta go, bye guys." Asher said quickly to the two girls at the table and went back to the door. Michelle waves at the two and left once Katie and Asher did.
