The Riddler shut his apartment door behind himself, sighing with relief as he could relax for the rest of the evening. He locked the door, placed down his book, and took out his notebook, which was written up with a recent Idea he had while he was at work. It would be a good crime, but only if he had a partner willing to go the mile with him.

He walked over to the phone, which laid upon its wooden pedestal beside his chair. He grabbed the handle from the holder, and quickly dialed in a number, before placing it on his shoulder, listening to the ringing as he flipped open the notes he had quickly scribbled down.

It took a few moments for the line to pick up, and on the other side, Joker's familiar voice came through it. "Is this Ed?"

"Indeed it is."

"How odd is it that you're calling me instead of the other way around? I was just about to call, but you beat me to it!"

"Great minds think alike, don't they?"

Joker chuckled. "Sure they do! So what's the reason you're so eager to chat tonight? Got some crime that's due~?"

"Well, a plan that we can put into action, if plausible."

"You know I'm one for fun! Just ask the question."

The Riddler took in a breath to calm his nerves, then spoke once again, attempting to feign confidence. "So, my little helpers will cause the first part, a distraction that should take Batman away from our target. But while he's away, we'll cause all the chaos we can at the bank, and we'll have loads of time to do so.

Joker gasped. "Y-You mean...Like a crime date?!" He giggled excitedly.

The Riddler sighed. "...Yes, like a crime date..."

"Oh my goodness! I've never been on a crime date before! We have to make this super super special!!"

"Well, I'll let you decide what we do. There's no limit on what kind of chaos you can create."

"Oh that sounds just like a blast! I'll have to think of some fun and creative things to bring along!...But do tell, what will be your marvelous riddle this time, clever boy?"

"Well, it's a good one, like always...The tragedies ahead of you are not the cat's mouse. Instead, open your eyes to where the devil keeps greed's most prized possession."

"That's perfect! You're always so good at making riddles, just like you are at making me smile!"

"Heh, thank you." The Riddler smiled to himself, feeling his face warm slightly. "So, when are you free? I'm not working Sunday if that's good for you."

"That's good! And, I'm always free, clever boy. I don't have a job like you do, even if the work I do is important. I can always make time for a boy like you~"

"Well...That's good to know. I'll see if I can come to your place about an hour before part one, so we can have a bit of time to go over what we need to."

"Sounds okie-dokie to me! I'll see you then, clever boy! Don't be late~!"

As the two hung up the phone, The Riddler let out a shaky sigh of relief. At least the hardest part was done, so he could see which of his allies would be willing to help with the first part of the plan.
