Mason was sitting at his desk in his office, his fingers folded together. "Is that so?" He asked.

The person standing in front was his secretary. "Yes, sir. Cody Cooper has been found. He's currently with Eric Stone, who turned out to be his cousin. I found out about a few minutes ago."

Mason smiled. "Interesting. I didn't expect Cody to have a cousin. Well then, at least now we know where he's hiding."

"Shall I send some men to get him, sir." The secretary asked.

Mason shook his head. "Let's not be hasty. The last time those buffoons hunted him down, it brought some unwanted attention."

Flashback

Mason was watching on a laptop that showed some news on TV. It showed an amateur's video clip that briefly showed his black vans chasing after Cody and Jeremy on the former's old duel runner.

Flashback end

"And on top of that, they got sloppy and let him escape from custody. If we keep making mistakes like that, then everything we worked hard for will be for nothing." He pointed out. "So for now, tell them to observe. And tell them to capture Cody when he's alone. Also, tell them to be more discreet."

"Understood, sir." The secretary bowed to him slightly before walking away.

Mason spun on his chair to face the window, staring at the blue sky. 'Soon, you and your parents' secrets will be mine, Cody Cooper.'

At that moment, a monitor standing on his desk was ringing like a phone. He turned to it and pressed a button, making the screen show the face of a man in a black business. He was bald and had squared glasses over his blue eyes.

"Ah, Mr. Fenton. I'm glad you called." Mason greeted. "I take it you wish to discuss our little business."

"As a matter of fact, I do!" Mr. Fenton replied angrily. "And I have something to say about that... You can't buy my company!"

Mason folded his fingers. "Please, Mr. Fenton. Surely you realize that your company is about to go bankrupt. The chance that you'll be able to rise up seems very unlikely. Why not just let me buy it and get it over with?"

"No! I don't care what you think of my company's state, I can still save it! I know I can! I don't care how much I need to do to accomplish that, but I will! So I say it again. You can't buy my company!"

Mason shook his head. "You can try all you want, but no matter how you look at it, it's doomed." Then, he smirked. "Of course, there is a way to fix that."

Mr. Fenton blinked. "What? What are you talking about?"

"Why, I'm proposing you a chance to save your company. A way to settle our business. If you were to be successful, then your company will have a better future."

After a silent moment, Mr. Fenton asked. "What are you suggesting?"

"A public duel."

"A duel?" Mr. Fenton repeated. "Why?"

"Simple." Mason held up a finger. "If you duel me, and win, then the performance of your dueling skills will certainly make people grow more interested in your business."

"Hmmm." That made Mr. Fenton thoughtful.

"However..." Mason continued. "I only have one condition in case you accept this proposal. If I win, then you have no choice but to sell your company to me."

Now, Mr. Fenton looked conflicted. Of course, why wouldn't he? While this could give him a chance to save his company, it would be devastating if he lost.
