Disclaimer:

Before you dive into this one-shot, here are a few things to keep in mind:

1. Reader's Powers: In this story, you (the reader) have ice powers. Your abilities allow you to summon ice, create snow, and turn anything you touch into ice.

2. Younger Versions of the Umbrella Academy: This story features the Umbrella Academy siblings as their younger selves, during the timeline where they are still living under Reginald Hargreeves' roof and dealing with their childhood dynamics.

3. **Vanya, Not Viktor:** This one-shot is set in the timeline based on the earlier seasons of The Umbrella Academy, so you will see Viktor referred to as "Vanya." This is true to the character's identity during this period. If you are uncomfortable with this or prefer Viktor's later identity, feel free to skip this story.

4. Respectful Reading: If the above elements don't align with your preferences, this might not be the one-shot for you. Please don't come for me—I'm simply staying true to the show's timeline and my creative vision.

Enjoy the read, and have fun with this frosty adventure!

I lay on my bed in the academy, staring up at the ceiling, my fingers idly playing with my powers. Tiny snowflakes formed in my palm, delicate and icy, before disappearing into nothingness. I sighed, feeling the familiar weight of the academy settle around me. Dad was gone for the day, off meeting with some other important people. We had a rare free day—no training, no missions—which felt nice, but the whole academy felt quiet. Too quiet. Everyone was holed up in their rooms, doing who knows what.

I turned my head to the side and looked out my window. The sky was a dull gray, the kind that promised more snow. The most beautiful cold weather. Snow was barely falling, just a few lazy flakes drifting down from the sky, but it was enough to make the world outside look magical. I smiled, a small burst of happiness blooming in my chest. An idea began to form in my mind, and I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

I swung my legs over the side of the bed and stood up, grabbing my shoes from the closet. I bundled myself up, making sure to pull my hair up and gloves as well. If I was going to do this, I needed to be prepared. Quietly, I opened my door and peeked out into the hallway. The coast was clear. Perfect.

I tiptoed headed straight for Klaus's room, my boots squeaking against the cold tile floors. I knocked on his door softly before pushing it open, catching him mid-roll of a cigarette. He looked up in surprise and quickly hid it behind his back.

"Calm down, it's not Pogo," I said, leaning casually against the doorframe.

Klaus sighed dramatically before pulling the cigarette back out and continuing to roll it. "You scared me, Y/n. What are you doing sneaking around like that?" he asked, a playful smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

"I wanted to see if you wanted to come out back and have some fun," I said, grinning. I could see the curiosity spark in his eyes.

"It's snowing," I added, nodding toward his window.

Klaus leaned over to take a look, squinting at the light dusting of snow falling outside. "It's barely snowing. There's nothing to play with," he said, unimpressed.

"Really?" I asked, my grin widening as I lifted my hand. I concentrated for a moment, feeling the familiar tingle in my fingertips as they turned a shimmering shade of blue, tiny flakes of ice forming around them. I let the snow dance in my palm, showing off just a little bit.

Klaus's eyes widened, and then he broke into a grin of his own. "Heck yeah," he said, his enthusiasm contagious. He jumped off his bed and headed to his closet, pulling out a jacket and boots in record time. I couldn't help but laugh. When Klaus wanted to have fun, he didn't waste a second.
