Taehyung's (BTS) Baby

It's been three years to the exact date of our wedding. Such a short amount of time but compared to us actually knowing each other since we were both children. We were neighbours and didn't like each other in our teenage years, then God knows how that dislike turned into love, we didn't even realise it ourselves. But now as I walk through the door into our house, I know I wouldn't change a single thing about us. The arguments we used to have back then are still very much present in our marriage till this day, with only a small difference; back then we would have killed each other and today we would kill for each other.

This morning when I woke up though Taehyung wasn't here. Neither did I get a text nor a call, not a single mention of our anniversary. Thinking he must've just forgotten about it I wished him first but now at half five in the evening I still have no reply to that message.

Feeling hurt, I decided to just get this wonderful-turned-shitty day over with. I didn't even bother Tae afterwards. I couldn't, it just hurt too much. I thought we were both excited over this, I even  had a gift for him but he didn't even remember our anniversary.

Coming onto the driveway, I see the lights still switched off meaning Tae is working late and I hate that. Walking through the front door I walked onto something gentle, cushioning my steps. I turn on the lights and see a path of red petals from the door to the dining table. Unable to see the table since it's blocked by a large wall which you have to go round to get there, I close the door behind me and walk around the large white wall to see the path of petals ending at the table.

As I entered the room, my breath caught at the sight before me. The room, transformed by the soft glow of countless candles, felt like a scene from a dream. The room was bathed in a warm, golden glow, the flickering candlelight casting dancing shadows on the walls. Vanilla scented candles (our favourite after a lot of shopping) of various sizes and shapes were scattered throughout the room, their soft light creating an intimate and enchanting atmosphere. In the centre of the room stood a small, round table, elegantly set for two. The table was adorned with a crisp white tablecloth, and at its heart, a pair of tall, slender candles burned brightly, their flames swaying gently with the air.

I take a moment to absorb the scene, feeling the love and effort put into every detail. Then, as my gaze shifts, I notice Tae standing there, a gentle smile on his lips, holding two champagne glasses. His eyes sparkle with anticipation, waiting for my reaction. The bubbles in the champagne glasses reflect the light, adding to the magical ambience.

"You didn't think I forgot, did you?" He teased, clearly just looking for a reaction from which he definitely got.

"Well, duh! You didn't respond and I thought that maybe..." I trailed off. I was honestly thinking this is the start of our marriage's end.

He shushed me, kissed me on the forehead and we both had dinner together. It was amazing but to make it better, I decided to surprise him with a decision I made. It was honestly me holding back, he couldn't wait to be a father and I was just worried over certain things. Though after today, it was a done deal.

He was picking up our dishes when I followed him to the kitchen and spoke, "You still want to be a dad?"

He stopped what he was doing the second he heard me and turned around. "Fuck yes." His smile faltered, "But I don't want to pressurise you into doing something you don't actually want. I want you to want a baby too, my love."

"What if I do?"

A big grin was on his face and as he took a step towards me I ran off into our bedroom upstairs, with him closely following behind. We both knew I was messing about, because once he got me he won't be letting me go.
